Can my friend and I play from the same IP address?

Hello support forum, I have a question that I don't think is covered in the FAQs.

My friends want to come over one day so we can play a team game against a group of friends in another state. We're going to be playing from my home, from the same IP address during this game.

Would this flag us all as having duplicate accounts? We've wanted to do this in the past, for example, my friend was over here yesterday and wanted to check in on his games. I didn't allow him because I was worried about begin accused of having a duplicate account after the response I got here after my first post on the forums.

So, is this okay or do we need to make other arrangements?

It's ok. You are all playing on the same team. And in your other example, its just a one time use of your IP, which I don't think would flag anyone's concern.

What you, or anyone, shouldn't do is play games AGAINST someone who shares your IP address. If you and a friend/roommate/family member play from the same IP/computer you should either play as teammates or keep to different games. Also in that situation you should send an e-ticket letting the admins know which players are using the same IP.

To be on the safe side, send an e-ticket from the Help page to let the admins know about this specific game.

P.S. This is covered in the FAQ on the help page:

About the rules
15. Can more than one person play from the same computer?
The short answer is yes. Our Multi Hunters are pretty good at distinguishing roommates & family members from people with multiple accounts. However, some members prefer playing only in team games with people from the same computer to avoid accusations of cheating.
