Sequential gameplay

I took the first turn and deployed my troops ( manually) ,
then couple hours my opponents turn started, but after he finished deploying his troops -
it was his turn again, why is that sequential ? wasnt it my turn after he deployed his troops?

2011-04-04 14:25:33 - Game has been initialized
2011-04-04 14:25:48 - AslanTheKing began deploying initial troops
2011-04-04 14:29:16 - AslanTheKing ended the turn
2011-04-04 16:55:30 - T began deploying initial troops
2011-04-04 16:55:45 - T ended the turn
2011-04-04 16:55:45 - Incrementing game to round 2
2011-04-04 16:55:46 - T received 4 troops for 14 regions
2011-04-04 16:55:55 - T deployed 4 troops on Mexico City

Play Order Sequential
Gameoptions say
Play Order
In a sequential game player 1 is first, then player 2, then player 3, etc.

with this unlogic experience i lost my game, since the other player gets on top his deployed troops , another 4 on top
and i lose all my troops and the advantage to do anything. i dont think thats right

Actually, "Round 2" on the Manual setting is Round 1 for the Automatic setting. The only difference is that you have chosen the spots to place your troops, but just like an Automatic game, the first player to start is picked randomly.

So my advice would either be:
- Don't play that setting if you don't want this to happen.
- Try it again and you might be the one in his position (50% chance).
- Think about where you deploy your troops, so this situation is a little less likely.

Also, I'm not entirely sure about this, but I think that if you would've played this exact game on Freestyle, you would be the one to start.

JB is correct.
In sequential games all players get the chance right away to deploy troops. You cannot see where someone else has dropped their troops untill everybody has deployed their troops, even if the game is sunny.
Once the deployment face is over, the starting player in a seq game is chosen randomly.

That shouldn't be right. Round 2 in Manual is like round 1 in Automatic, so with a Manual/Freestyle game everybody should be able to start his turn directly in round 2.

Edit: You are right, see Game 8833839. Red deployed last and can't start his turn in round 2

which is why freestyle sucks. After all there are quite a few players who miss their deployment fase to be able to get the first attack. Those players who do this intentionally however do face penalties now.. so thats.. better...
Still, deploying first has a great advantage in freestyle if you want to be the first active player.
