server performance this morning

I don't know what the issue was, but I just "ran out of time" because Conquer Club was taking 10-15 minutes to process some of my moves. Every other site I visited this morning worked fine, but not CC.
Did anybody else have any issues? Is there any precedent for how to handle things like this? I almost certainly would have finished the game (# 252190), but the system just took too long.

Did it work when you re-opened it? That would have been handy before I gave my opponent a second chance and lost the opportunity to fortify or get a card.

I've suffered the same fate this morning.
If I notice something taking a very long time to complete. I try opening the game in another tab. Sometimes this seems to work, though I'm not sure why.
Sometimes I have to open the game in another tab after each turn. Even doing this I barely finished my turn in the alloted time.
It does seem to be CC related, as my other web sites have behaved normally.

the new york giants?
anyway, am i just SOL, then? we're likely going to lose a game we should have won because of the server's lousy performance this morning. is there no sportsmanlike way to compensate us?

Yup, I had the same issue. Started my turn fine and then it froze up. I managed to get back into the turn before it ended, but I was so frustrated that I made a few bad moves and isolated a large number of armies advancing to conquered territories as I tried to move along quickly. It may yet cost me my game...

That's good news. I hope my post didn't sound 'bitchy'... This site is usually in top shape and I know that a lot of hard work goes into keeping it running smoothly. But as is the case with just about everything, you seem to get more complaints when things are less than ideal, but rarely get the same proportion of compliments when things are as they should be.
So a hearty "Good Job" to all that make this site the fun place that it is!

I agree. I've been very lucky today, barely finishing more than one turn before the crap hit the fan! But, Lack, and all the little elves deserve a huge cookie or sumpthin' for the great job they do here. Let's hope CC continues to grow and progress, allowing our patron saint the luxury of calling CC his only job! Big bear kisses.....

How do you know about that game that I lost? I wouldn't have even joined it if my friend hadn't told me to anyway. Anyway's wicked, stop stalking me because no, I will not date you. But that's a different thread all together.

Good points. I debated internally whether to post at all or not because, as all my friends can attest, I've said that the $20 I paid for a premium account here was "the best I ever spent."
That said, my girlfriend and her roommate were ready to disown me after my turn ended this morning. I think I learned not to take "the club" quite so seriously...

no, please post and let us know. we're not always on the site to see. Like this morning, I saw it happened once to me, so didn't really think anything of it. Wasn't until I saw this post that I mentioned it to Lack... he didn't know until then. So yeah, let us know.
