I'm confused on how the post counter works. I heard that the off topic posts aren't supposed to count, but some of them count for me. I'm just curious as to how it works.

your post count give 22. your total amount of posts that are not in a private forum are 31..
If you have made any posts in a private forum, well thay are counted, but are not accesiable by us.
considering of the 31 posts i was, you made 22 in the off topics i can only conclude that you made a grand total of 13 posts in the limited acces forums... is that about right?

Posts in clan/usergroup fora and off-topics don't count, to the best of my knowledge.

However, posts made in off-topics and hidden fora before some time probably in late 2008 do actually contribute to the post count, as that's when the admins decided to change the post counting method.

ah... i am going to check this out.. brb

this above seems to be accurate.
In 2 private forums dating pre 2008 i did not get an increase of my postcount, but pre 2008 messages are still counted..
problem solved..

take the date into account. Old accounts will thereby have an "inflated" postcount compared to newbie's, with regards to off topics and private forums. That still makes some people really post a lot...
