Speed vs. Standard and vice versa

ok, in the medals area, if you win a speed game, does it count toward speed medal AND a standard achievement medal?

Yes, and if it's foggy it counts toward that medal and if it's freestyle it counts towards that medal, etc.

Yes,
the only ciriteria is that you must win against a player that you not have actually won against in that category.

e.g.
You vs me, you win a standard sunny no spoils game on a new map. you get a crossmap +1,. If you play against me on the same map but then foggy and manage another win,your crossmap count will NOT rise,(since you have already beaten me once) but your foggy game count will go +1.
in effect, you will only have to play 400 people to get all medals, but usually it means you will play many more games to get any medal
