Account Sitting [Nevermind...]

Postby Victor Sullivan on Mon Dec 20, 2010 6:55 pm

Okay, so I'm gonna be gone from the 26th to the 30th or 31st. How exactly does account sitting work? Do I just give someone my password? Cuz that doesn't seem entirely safe to me...

It is not safe. I can think of only a couple of people on here that I would give my password to. If you do not feel safe leaving your account in the care of someone else, then it is not safe.

Just sayin'

lol. It is safe if you find the right people. There are a lot of good decent people here at CC. Heck I sit for about a dozen people myself. Never had an issue. Cept for pissing off their opponents every now and then in chat. LMAO!! I win a game for em every now and then.

If you're concerned Just make it well known to some of the key people in the community and even pm a couple of mods and if something should arise you are covered. ;)

lol, I know it's safe. Well unless you are worried that it isn't. See that means you trust no-one to get it right, do the right thing, make the right moves or stay out of the forums while sitting your account. I helped someone out when they could not get to a computer before too. Ha, I too may have raised a few eyebrows in game chat. Fun though. :D

Maybe Victor is worried his turn taken % will go up. I dunno. Thats why he should let a few people know he is away from x to y. That way if someone goes on a posting frenzy it doesn't fall on him.

The rules for sitting are very restrictive and they are enforced. No posting. No communication except for game related issues like team game moves etc... No game creation. No game joining with the exception of on going tourney invites. Just taking turns is about it.

My question has already been answered. Can somebody lock this, please? I'd prefer if jefjef not continue to post here. You foed me, jefjef, so I don't understand why you've decided to post here and I really didn't appreciate your comment:

We don't take requests...
I'd only lock this if it violated the Community Guidelines. No, that is not an invitation by the way, haha.

wow what a dick comment.. the guy made a thread asking a question, the question was answered.. someone in the thread is baiting him, he requests for it to be locked and u refuse to? ive seen plenty of times an op requests for the thread to be locked and it is.. plus i cant see the harm in locking this... i guess the mods arnt working to make this a more enjoyable place for the paying customers.. Maybe it has something do with a teenager with having to much power?

How is not using the mod power of a penalty in for form of a lock compare to
a teenager with having to much power?

Never mind, one mod has spoken, now please let the thread die unless you have something to add to the OP's point

to that end, Accountsitting is more commonly requested in the callout forum. Also try to get into a clan, they often have sitters availiable to you can get to know. Letting a cook sit for you is not always equally nice to your rank. Also do not forget to announce yourself in the gamechat when you are sitting.
