Hi everyone. I'm new here, and this may be a stupid question that everyone knows the answer to, but I just find the rules a little vague and can't find this being asked anywhere else in the forum.

Does no secret diplomacy apply to games where you are on a team? I understand that it does when your in a free for all, that you can't message someone and ask them to help you gang up on someone, and I agree with that, but can you do private messages with teammates? If I have a great strategy in mind, it won't do a whole lot of good when I post it in the game and its there for all our opponents to see.

You don't have to share your strategy in game chat, it is only for diplomacy i.e. alliances, truces, shared border etc.

You also don't need to do it via PM, if you have the 'show this message to teammates only' box ticked you can talk in game chat without your opponents seeing
