Question regarding unwritten rule: throwing games

In a game I am playing (Game 7852342), a player (red) made a comment that I took exception to. At the time, I was doing very well, as was one other player (blue), and everyone else was in a much worse position. The comment was "ok blue looks like pink wants to wipe me out so build up while you can i will fight him to my last." I am pink and blue and I were about equal. To me, this comment suggests that red was planning on sacrificing himself to kill me so that another player could win, which I took as ethically gray at best. We have since been arguing about it, and he admits freely that he is currently attacking me without the intention of winning the game.

I guess my question is: where does this situation fall with regards to throwing games? Am I correct to be upset?

Note I now have a pretty big advantage in the game over everyone and should win easily, despite him attacking me constantly. My problem was never that he wanted to attack me (I was after all attacking him too), it was his blatant disregard for his own best interest that got to me. I would very much appreciate everyone's opinions on this.

Looked like your the highest rank. Kinda to be expected. Just foe him and rate accordingly. You don't really have a case for a complaint just by him saying it and being helpless to do it.

I see blue uses the missed turn deferred troops strategy. Thats how he made my foe list.

I agree there are tags for 'suicider' 'cheap tactics' and 'reckless' for a reason. I'd say rate him how you feel is appropriate, add the tags you feel best describes his gameplay/attitude and then foe him so you won't have to deal with playing him again.

Now that you brought this foe list matter up, would you mind telling me why I'm on yours? :P
