Why reward failure to play by letting their armies grow?

Why do they let those who miss turns get the armies for those missed turns? It just encourages some players to miss turns, causing a 24 hour delay for everyone every time they do. Fine, don't make them forfeit the game unless they miss three in a row, which is pretty forgiving in the first place, but why reward them?

plus, brand new people wouldn't want to return if they know they're just screwed in a game cuz they forgot to take their turn. helps boost continual membership and retention of NRs.

And it allows people to have a life outside of CC so they can go away for a day or two and not be ruined in all of their games.

It's not a reward, since they would have gotten those armies anyway. The only advantage it gives is a slight surprise attack, but it puts them at a disadvantage because they can't get cards and you can break their bonuses after they miss their turns.

A good rule of them? Act like the player who missed a turn actually played and placed all of their armies on whatever country would put you in the worst position. That way when they return you are prepared for the worst.

Why are there so many whiners about this! It is fair. Just cause you don't do anything but sit there waiting for the next guy to go doesn't mean that other things won't come up for people. It is in your best interest for them to miss turns. Take advantage of a deadbeat!
