You have to conquer an opponents territory and end your turn before time runs out

obviously you also need to play games that contain the spoils as an option, also the above player is correct

how is it determined what colour spoil you receive? is it random or is their a way of makeing sure you receive the colour you need?

also there might be more then one of thoe cards in the other players hand for example you might own eqypt and another person would to

You can also receive spoils from bombarding a territory (converting the territory to neutrals).

The first two games the OP played were indeed no spoils games, but I think he's got it figured out now. One important tip for all new players is to familiarize yourself with the different options and settings available here at conquer club and what they mean to game play.

But that is only the case if there are more cards in the players hands then there are territories on the map, so only for small maps.
