If you also control the region that is on one of the spoils you hand in, you get a bonus of two troops deployed on that region. Hope this helps.

spoils are the colored territories you get at the end of a turn. they some in red, green, and blue. you can cash them in once you have three of one color or one of each color. you cannot hold more than 5. they do different things depending on your game settings (either you get extra troops -escalating/flat rate or you blow up other people's territories-nuclear). More deatils can be found here: http://www.conquerclub.com/public.php?m ... tructions3

like JelleR said, if you're playing flat rate or escalating spoils, you get +2 troops on the spoil you turned in if you hold that territory.

so I have :
My Spoils ([bracketed] if owned): Lugo Ávila [Leiria] Cádiz Cantabria
Lugo - red ; Ávila - Blue ; Leiria - Red ; Cádiz - Blue ; Cantabria - Green.
And I'm yellow. What can I do with that ? How can I get a spoil that I want to?

In your situation, you can trade 1 green, 1 red and 1 blue. Your red one should be Leiria, as you already have it and will get +2 armies in it. The green one has to be Cantabria. For the blue one, I'd pick the one you're less likely to conquer quickly.

As soon as you have a chance to use your spoils (ie. you have 3 of the same colour or 1 of each colour) then the box will pop up at the start of your turn asking if you want to use them. If this happens when you have 3 or 4 cards in total you are given the option to use your cards or not. Once you have 5 you are forced to use them.

You're also forced to cash when you have 5 or more cards in the middle of a turn (as a consequence of killing someone).

You can't. You just get a random spoil each turn you conquer/bombard a territory. The color and territory of the spoil are completely random.

forza, he meant, how does he pick his spoils to use them... not how to get a particular spoil he does not yet have
