Bullshit Decisions - CC Robbery

It took me a while to decide to actually write this - but thinking about it again tonight just made my blood boil so here I am ...

I was recently notified that I was a suspected multi and therefore my premium account was pulled, though I can buy back in .... as in give CC MORE money when I should be paid up for another 6 months or more . Not f'ing likely - was given NO ability to talk about it or explain anything - just pure bullshit ... and robbery - taking my money.

My brother had moved in, separated from wife (2 kids) and all that baggage. I told him about this great site that could take his mind off the pain, etc. He opens an account here and has immediate success, something like 80% win rate over 15 games or so. He's always been good at games and has a near genius IQ so this wasn't a surprise to me. Won mostly 1v1 and maybe a couple bigger ones mostly based on deadbeats. Obviously we are using the same IP - he only has access to my computer when I'm on as well.

This is just bullshit. Now I'm playing 4 games at a time, and getting bored with it - not enough action - and I have no intention of paying money I already paid to play. My brother has decided its not worth the aggravation and isn't playing anymore, moved on to other things. I would have kept buying premium annually because though I may whine about dice sometimes, it really is a lot of fun.

So the bottom line is - I feel like I was robbed by CC. Tried and found guilty in the CC kangaroo court where you aren't allowed to defend yourself. Well this may be the end for me here .... I will finish what I have going out of respect for the players ... but at a 4 game pace and the theft of my premium I can't be sure its worth hanging around. :(

I'm going to really miss what had become a staple in my life - a little place to come and hide out and have some guilty pleasure - maybe destroy a country or two, ravage the land, and take no prisoners ...... anyway I may reconsider but ....

this is pure theft ..... no rules were broken .... I was told the only way I'd clear is if I bought premium AGAIN and my brother bought PREMIUM so they could compare billing info. What a scam that is ..... steal my first premium and then force the purchase of 2 MORE. The funny thing is that my brother was on the verge of buying in when this scam was pulled on us. What a joke ..... kangaroo court .....

Well if your brother was on the verge then buy in. They can compare his billing info to that of your past billing info.

btw. YOU should have contacted them when the account was being set up... There may have been other indicators also.

I am confused as to why he only has access when your on to though. :?

if he wasn't your multi he should have been able to log on here when you weren't around

My advice is, submit an e-ticket.

Well I didn't elaborate because I didn't want to distract from the rest of what I was saying.

We have only one computer in our house, which is located in the master bedroom, where my wife spends a lot of time. My brother is staying only temporarily so he didn't bring his own computer and things of that nature. He generally uses his work computer to access what he needs online, but the company blocks gaming sites like CC so he can't access that from his office.

He has access when I am home and online, just because thats the way my wife wanted it - its complicated but there's a level of distrust there between the 2 - she was/is good friends with his ex as well. Complicated so thats the deal we struck.

Anyway .... maybe I will submit an e-ticket .... didn't know that was an option actually.

I assume the indicators were the IP address and the fact that we logged on very close to each other. I guess I could have played later when I was alone, but not sure why I'd have to do that. I should have been given the chance to reply.

I did submit the e-ticket ... awaiting an answer. I did receive a response asking for further elaboration, etc. Have been told that it has gone to other hunters to examine as well.

And as to Scott-Land ..... what does a multi sound like?
I'm not allowed to have a life and let my brother play on the computer too? I've done nothing wrong ... have submitted the evidence and is currently being examined. Maybe I should have let them know what was going on - it's a good lesson, however ... I did nothing wrong.

Just waiting for the correction that is hopefully coming. I understand why it was thought I could be a multi .... but I submitted all the evidence and my history on the site also backs me up. We'll have to wait and see. Hopefully justice is served, or I'll be spending all my time somewhere else ... which would be a shame considering how much I enjoy this site, and how many people I've brought over to it.

It would be easy to set up a proxy IP and route it so so it would appear as if from another location, and then play the multi at different times, etc. Its not that hard ... BUT I didn't because I'm not a multi!!!!

to be honest....i have to agree with scott here....but please understand why first.

All signs point toward a multi, but after hearing your story, I think the only way to clear this up is to have your brother purchase his premium so CC can compare billing info, then arrange some time for him to go to a public setting to take his turns. The public library would be a good place to start. Then two things can happen, you wont be using the same IP and you both can log on at the same time.

it'd be great to keep ya here, but you know the rules and why CC might react like this. I understand your overreaction too, and that is what makes it sincere. But have faith, and if it doesnt work in your favor, please try to understand why CC acted this way.

Best of luck to you in the future.

A lot of innocent people are in jails around the world, no judicial system is perfect. Overall I'd say the C&A team do a superb job, unfortunately the price of that is an innocent person or two being "screwed over" every now and then. It's that or let the multies have the run of the place...

If your story is true you have my sympathy. Personally I'd never be so silly as to have someone else create an account and play from my PC, but I understand that everyone isn't as aware of online gaming security measures, and many are genuinely surprised when they're accused of cheating, heh...
Too bad you had to learn the hard way.

If you like CC stick around, C&A were just doing their job, and I'm reasonably sure you could have avoided this if you'd read the rules properly?

my 5c.

Your explanations just doesn't sound very reasonable nor believable-- just too much going on I suppose. Nothing personal-- hope it works out for you if it's an unjust bust.

Suppose tho' on the flip side, not sure why anyone would want to create a multi when they're already premium. Think the main reason people do it is to avoid the 4 game limitations. So you have that going for you.

There probably isn't anyone who cares enough to read this anymore, but out of respect for the community, I wanted to post this.

My premium has been reinstated, although the hunters did believe they were justified in their suspicions initially. I agree that there is more I should have done to ensure they knew everything was legit, and it was a good lesson learned.

Can't wait to get back out there on the battlefield and kick some ass!!!!! (especially those of you who didn't believe me!!!)

glad it worked out for you too. My brother has been playing conquer club for almost 3 years and we had the same IP address and I waited 2 years before I started playing to avoid that problem when I found out itd be an issue, so as not to get him in trouble. Its kinda crappy that family and roommates situations can cause that to happen but it is in the rules to notify someone when that situation arises. I didnt want to take that chance myself. But welcome back to premium. =D>

So if 2 brothers were playing on 1 computer showing the same IP, how do they stop the multi whose house has more than 1 computer with different IPs?

Just for the record .... I wasn't aware that I was supposed to nofity when a situation like that arises ... though admittedly, it's pretty obvious now! At the time, with my brothers 'problems' I just wasn't thinking.
