Need help picking Feudal Epic settings

I have played one game on Feudal Epic, and I enjoyed the map; however, when I asked for help in the forums, I was told that it is good to sit and wait a while, letting your opponents come to you.

As a non-premium member and one who becomes bored quite easily, I am looking to avoid this.

Could someone please give me some advice as to what settings will produce a more-action oriented game? :)

P.S. Also, is it possible to avoid the "kill or be killed" situation the moment you and your closest neighbor have both burst through your walls?

I disagree. It depends on the number of players, I usually play 4 or 8 player, I always take the Village as soon as possible. Then if the guy next to you is waiting, you're getting more troops than the opponent next to you, and he's trapped. You can soon take him out.
If he's not waiting, then there's a great deal of luck involved as to who wins the battle, but it puts you out in front if you win early.

no, you pretty much have to kill your neighbor first if you want to win

i believe unlimited and esc/flat have the highest chance of attack succes. You can also throw in nukes to get a lucky chance of killing the main stack. Then movement is the key to winning

The best settings for a quick game are Assassin,Freestyle, esc or nuclear and no fog with 5 players.
If you want the game to last forever.Go no cards 4 players with fog.
The 5 player part gives you one castle each.Any less then 5 will give you 2 each which makes it more complicated.
Always go for your opponent when you have at least 50 troops, picking up village bonus' on the way.If you sit there they'll have attacking dice and kill you

attacking dice.. i hate attacking dice.... went toe to toe with a fellow once. 500-501.. ends as 2-175... talk about ouch. Still i get great dicestreaks out of it, unlucky or lucky, its a matter of perspective..
