So I've completed a bunch of games but only been rated by two players. I know I have to wait for games to be archived, but there should be more than that. Is that normal? Do a lot of people just not bother?

Yeah, most people don't rate a good portion of their opponents. Usually they only go out of their way if they're trying to get the ratings medal.

i personally rarely bother with the new rating system... less moderation necessary, but not nearly as good as the previous feedback/rating system...-the black jesus

I rate when I feel I can give a fair rating. When I was playing 4 games of standard flatrate, then giving fair ratings to 95% of opponents was doable. When playing 50+ games, and especially on some settings, it's difficult to get a feel for the playing of a majority of those one meets. Some games are over before they begin, others are stack and wait, some are a little too foggy for assessment, and somtimes larger teamgames are also very difficult in regard to rating.
Long story short, I continue to rate whenever I feel I have got an adequate picture of my opponents playing. Changing circumstances have seen me go from rating 95% of my opponents to 15-20%, but in the name of fair ratings, so be it.
