Secret alliances are not allowed. All diplomacy has to be done in game chat, where everyone can see it.

You must declare in the chat for a alliances, otherwise, secret alliance's are against the rules.

correct. And because you asked, ill give a bit of motivation. your answer was neither truthful, complete, helpful nor responding to the question asked. It could be seen as trolling or baiting, but then i know you too well ;-)

Okay, so I put an offer in the public chat. The player has not responded, but is not attacking me whatsoever. Should I consider myself bound to the treaty? Must I declare it broken in x number of turns to continue? How can I best prepare myself to oppose the other player, with whom I share borders, once the treaty is broken. Here is the game so you can see yourself: http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=7516613. I am red and he is yellow.

Thank you

If you honour a treaty, that is up to you, but please keep in mind that there can be only one winner. CC allows diplomatic chat in the gamechat. It does not encourage nor require you to abide by treaties. In fact it is encouraged to stab someone in the back, repeatedly.... It is adviced that you do so only when you can finish the threat, otherwise you might just have to face a wildman ingame..lol
Also be aware that if you break your promise (or even if you keep it) someone might rate you low. Not everybody is a fan of diplomacy ingame.
All in all a hard choice, but if you can win the game with it, just go for it.

post another note for a response because no response means he can attack you and you can not rate him badly for it because he has never agreed 2 it

ps can we have the game no because some players break truces and we can give you advise on this
