Yes. It doesn't detract from the gameplay experience, and can only benefit. I've made too many mistakes in the vein of assuming a green is a blue, to not use it.

In rare instances, I will. On really large maps like Battle of Actium, I sometimes have trouble distinguishing between Green and Grey, but those are the only two.

People who vote yes: color blind or too lazy to mentally decipher the colors

People who vote no: good vision or too lazy to click on the color codes button

Yes, always. I have trouble distinguishing between similar colors, so this is even more valuable to me than BOB or Clickies. And that's saying a lot.

It's critical for me and my color-blindness.

I sometimes have problem identifying between the neutrals and yellow player territories on certain maps (like Hive, because the map itself is yellow), so I use colour codes only for that occasion, which is seldom.

can't there be a sometimes option? I guess I normally keep them off, but I turn them on a lot to make sure I don't mess up

This is also for me... sometimes red and pink blend in

I do, and I'm not too lazy to mentally decipher colors, but a r1 next to a g1 is easier to recognize faster and more effectively than two 1's of different colors side by side.

If you're colour blind, that is... ;)

I always use them and I never mistake or miss any regions on the map that way.

Exactly.

If you've made even one mistake when not using color codes, that's one too many, and you should be using them.

If you've never made any mistakes (or at least made none in recent memory), then... well, you are awesome and I envy your perfect eyesight ;)

Sometimes when I am trying to locate all the regions of a player I'll turn 'em on for a quick glance. Or if I want to make sure I haven't missed any regions I am executing a take-out.

i use them, now

those yellows/neutrals & pink/reds can sometimes be hard to tell apart

during a recent game on Feudal Epic an opponent (Blue) had made a charge at one of my castles (Green), i eliminated all but one of his charge the next turn. the following turn of mine i built my defense higher, grabbed my card then started to lean in at the screen - one of those 1's near my castle looked a little odd. turned on colour code and my fear was confirmed. my defensive wall was unbreachable but he was already inside.

i would not have made that mistake if i always had them turned

Always.

Why not?

I am not color blind and I have great vision, but it is just another way to easily identify other players and lessen the chance of a kill.

I thought it was about both, that's why I answered both.
