I have heard of this Xtratabasco player from years past (put his name in the search engine if your clueless.) He seems infamous, lovable and down right a-kick-ars fellow. So what is your memory of this player?

I believe he was also banned for continuously making racist comments. And he kept making 9/11 threads. After there were already a dozen in the top part of the forum.

You're way off base on that one Owen. I just talked with xtra on the phone for quite a while but i knew Creeper wasn't him before i called. No similarity whatsoever as far as posting style. Xtratabasco aint here in any form.

As to why he was banned, he was accused of posting porn and having multis. He asked wicked numerous times to show him where he posted porn and she kept promising to do so right up until he was banned - at which point he could no longer access his PM to ask for any proof. He was also accused by wicked of having multis - again no proof was ever furnished. No multis were ever named - maybe they were secret multis?

Like i said i just spoke with him on the phone - this is from the horse's mouth as it were. I'd say that the handling of Xtratabasco's ban is a good example of the dishonesty and hypocrisy of the admins here. Notice that they never make public why a person was banned here - protection of our privacy they say. I say protection of their dishonesty. I've known and spoken with a lot of people who got banned from the forum here and none of them had any objections to the reason for their ban being posted.

I myself was banned for 6 mos for "negative comments and trolling" - no specific examples of such were offered. Any swinging Richard on this site could be accused of "negative comments and trolling" if the admins so desire - that's about as general and vague as you can get. If they want to ban you they'll ban you - it's their site. Hell i may get another 6 mos for posting this.

i was having a laugh BK... many of the bans that came down then were simply bogus and the new regime trying to get a grasp of something they spun out of control with many of the illogical moves they made (let's move The Foundry above the GD and the traffic will increase to the foundry and away from the GD... yeah, that worked), including removing flame wars (i did not frequent flame wars and am not going to cry about their needing to return). one of the most interestingly obtuse things they did was to deny reviewing the less than 1 dozen permanent forum bans that were issued around that time before the escalating scale was introduced. one admin declared it would take far too long to review cases of folks like DM and Xtra, and that the rulings would stand. the funny thing is, DM got the dirt nap by a few weeks. had he held on for a bit longer, he would have had a simple bogus 6 month ban like i received.

nobody cares about any of this until it happens to them. until you are banned for something that doesn't makes or is simply created (unwritten rule), and realize that the person handling your appeal is more than likely the person that handed down the ban, you truly can not understand the frustration and injustice of the entire gallows process on CC. i still think that the less than 12 perma-banned members should have their cases reviewed and possibly be let off for time served. look at t-o-m, he is banned from the forums, but they continue to use his maps... it is just laughable.

furthermore, when multis are busted, they are allowed to repurchase premium and all is forgiven. if i have one mis-step in the forum or an admin creates another rule to ban me, i am gone for another 6 months, how is that fair? once you serve your max time of 6 months, it should be reset to the start of the scale again. anyway... i'm rambling... xtra should have his case reviewed, just like many others that are banned. the fact that a lot of his case lies within the hands of one of the most notorious CC mods that lost her mind and tried to take down the site, lends credence to his belief that she was not fair with him. the black jesus has spoken...-the black jesus

Xtra was originally permabanned finally for flaming outside of the flame wars and being a general pain in the ass which promoted said flaming, spamming and hate mails, aka he was being trollish.

Permaban is permaban, he, like everyone else, had the opportunity to straighten up, but chose not to. We asked him to stop, told him to stop, slapped him on the wrist and finally he got himself booted.

As soon as he gets back (because of a bug), he starts back in on exactly the type of content which pissed everyone off in the first place and I don't think many of us (those who wish to make fun of him and troll aside) want to go down that road again.

His being "released" was not intentional, and has been fixed.

It shall remain.

Interesting. Wicked said he was banned for porn and multis, twildo said he was banned for "flaming outside of flame wars and being a general pain in the ass" - which is it? Since both wicked and twildo are gone now the admins can blame it on them and let it lie. That's not only unfair, it's fooking lazy.
