[Game]Game 6836712 [/Game] went into a stalemate between merida,myself,RL_Orange,steve066

So we all decided to go for a tie-breaker Game 7233772 meaning winner takes all since first game cld not be decided.

hence in [Game]6836712 [/Game] , we decided to all deploy men only and this happened for more than 20 rounds.

RL_Orange then won Game 7233772 and also announced it in Game 6836712 game chat .

2010-07-13 15:41:25 - RL_Orange: i won the madagascar game, gg all
2010-07-14 22:10:28 - Dustine: gg
2010-07-15 21:36:33 - merida: gg everyone
2010-07-16 00:16:52 - RL_Orange: merida, this was a tiebreaker and i won the other one! wtf did you do.
2010-07-16 00:16:55 - RL_Orange: You stole my points
2010-07-17 01:06:28 - Dustine: u are a cheat, merida, clearly u went 10 rounds without attacking , and in the game chat and in recently finished games we had a deal for tie-breaker
2010-07-17 01:07:02 - Dustine: posted on your wall but no comments
2010-07-17 01:07:33 - Dustine: i suggest everyone foe this guy and never play with him again!

So as agreed I weakened merida and steve. But when it came to merida's turn all of the sudden he went for the win, even having the guts to say GG!

I posted on his wall but he refused to explain himself.

it is not cheating, nothing is fair in a war !
It's just very poor sportsmanship.

Allthough agreements can be made in game chat, there is nothing in the rules that says that players have to keep agreements they made. So technically, it's not cheating, as it isn't breaking any rules.

That being said, it is extremely unsportive conduct, and an excellent reason to foe someone.

Would throwing the stalemated game as a result of the tie breaker been cheating? Pretty sure it is.

Your embarassing yourself Niphilim... it's not that people don't *understand* what Dustine means, nor that they don't agree in spirit. But she is raving on specifically about CHEATING. And the gents that posted before me are 100% correct. throwing games for any reason is cheating.

I'm sure a lot of people have read this thread and laughed out loud over the irony of accusing somone of cheating for NOT cheating, while striving to break CC rules...

That said please don't start to flame me, I understand and agree 100% that it was unsportsmanlike and "dirty". That doesn't chage CC rules.

/Regards

I cant remember where i read it but someone said that tiebreaker games were ok to solve stalemates. Also it not really throwing a game, its settling a game that will never end...

ljex, for the record I don't oppose tiebreaker games as an idea, it's logical, and under present game circumstaces, needed, hah. Thanx for enlightening me to mod attitude on the subject though, didn't know it was openly aknowledged as a legitemate move, I jsut assumed it was an issue they looked the other way on, as long as noone complained.

i think this solution of ending a stale-mate, some might argue is neither breaking the rule or following it.

I remember reading a thread where a tournament game ended in a stalemate and they decided it through a tie-breaker and got reported.

But they got cleared by mods.
