went in to the game & hit "Begin Turn".

Had to play the round without knowing how many troops were placed on the map?

This has left me potentially screwed for the next round.

This has never happened before. I refreshed, reloaded, closed and reopened and it didn't fix it. Now that I've finished the round I can see everything.

How gay is that?

It seems to have been a little glitch in the game server.
Everyone experienced it, but it was all sorted after about 2 minutes...
You should've waited to move, these things are normally resolved pretty quickish.

I'm afraid that I cannot form a suitable response to your direct question, as I am unaware of any quantitive units for measuring just how gay something is.

Sorry I can't be of more help, maybe the officials will explain the cause of this issue in due course.

You definitely should have waited this out, or at least addressed the issue before ending your turn. Glitches happen, and CC is usually pretty good about making sure no one gets screwed over by them. But they didn't make you take your turn blind.

I imagine you'd use a big long stick...

given this map's subdued color scheme and the absence of any excitement in the problem, i think the question should be, "how straight is this?"
