Deadbeating noobs.....

I thought that'd this would be a good topic since I just created my first two games yesterday, and so far I've gotten 5 new recruits that look to be deadbeating. This is annoying as hell and is dragging the games on forever.

Well I'm sry if I didn't put it in the right section (I'm a bit of a noob myself)
but the principal still stands. Besides, if it has been talked about before and nothing has happened yet, IT NEEDS TO BE TALKED ABOUT MORE.

Well as i mentioned in a few other posts, I left and came back. Either way, time at the site doesn't mean you aren't a noob concerning how the site works. I usually just come on and play risk.

Not all us noobs are dead beaters :) Ive been here 2 days and im active in all my games. Im sure theres plenty more like me (i went premium within a day of joining as well). Im not quite sure how you sort out the deadbeaters but please dont tarnish all us new players with the same brush!

we were all new here once.... people miss turns for various reasons, and it isn't always "noobs"... in a game now where 2 LT's have missed their turns.... each with over 100+ games.... it happens. Not too much you can do.... pw your games and PM players you want to play, easiest way to protect your games

Only the noobs that don't deatbeat are going to come hear to defend themselves.

I don't like deadbeaters either. Especially when a game drags on forever because of them.

Of course not, that is what the scoring system is for.
A bad player, or an inexperianced one, will provide you will less points for beating them (as it wasn't hard), and will gain more points for beating you (as it was hard).
Besides, you're only waiting a day. It's no big deal, some people may not have the chance to check the site every hour or so.

I don't think you should be able to restrict games from noobs. However a suggestion that I've made recently is to implement an auto-kick if a noob player misses his first turn. I wonder what other people think about it

I've only been here for more then a month and I don't think it's fair for people to stereotype all noobs I have not missed any turns since i started and isn't that what private games are for.So you can decide who plays .people miss turns for varies reasons it's called Life so people should get used to it Remember everyone was a noob at one time or another and people gave all of you a chance.Maybe all of you complaining should do the same
