Deadbeats recieving points

Postby DewyDew on Wed Jan 24, 2007 10:15 pm

How is it that a deadbeat I was partnered with, who only played the first turn, recieved points at the end. I won the game on my own. Mostly fighting by myself against two teams. I don't mind not getting extra points, but it sickens me to have earned that idiot points.

That seems very unfair :( ... by the looks of the game log, DewyDew's teammate was kicked for deadbeating but a line was not struck through his name... this means that he was not eliminated even though he could not play anymore.

Is this not a bug in the system?

Hard luck DewyDew

No, in a team game when someone deadbeats, the remaining team players aquire the deadbeats territories and armies. It might not be fair that he got points, but it would have been a lot harder to win without those additional armies and territories.
It's not a bug, it's just how the system currently works.

Ah! Thanks for clearing that up. I was under the impression that the deadbeats armies became neutral.

Far better to receive his armies than loose them.

Thanks

It is because his team won so they are not "struck through with a line" :)

For example, you can kill your partner and in the end, his name won't be crossed if you win, because he won too
