I'm curious about the medal colors.

Bronze

Silver

Gold

Is that correct?
- If so, how does the achievement differ between them?
- If not, would someone please explain the colors to me?

Although all the medal types are listed on the medals page, it doesn't talk about the different colors.

The different colours are indeed bronze, silver and gold, just like you listed.

The difference between the colours is that silver and gold are more difficult to get, because they require you to do the same thing more often. If you look at the description column of the medals page you listed, the exact requirements are listed.

For example, for the standard medal, the requirements read (important part bolded):
standard medal requirements wrote:Awarded to members that defeated X unique opponents in Standard games. Bronze=20, Silver=100, Gold=400.
So once you have defeated 20 unique opponents in standard games, you'll receive the bronze medal. When you have defeated 100, this gets upgraded to a silver medal, and at 400 unique opponents defeated it becomes gold.

A unique defeat is every-time you beat someone on a setting you have not beat them on before, so if you were to beat someone you had never played before you would get unique defeats counted towards every type of medal that was a setting in that game. For example if you were playing a standard manual freestyle no spoils unlimited foggy you would get 1 unique defeat marked for each of the standard manual freestyle and fog medals. However if you beat that same person in the same type of game again it would not count for medals as they are no longer a unique kill

Yeah it depends on what medal you're going for.

Say you're going for standard medal, and you beat me twice in standard games (on different maps) that still counts as 1 kill towards the standard medal. But it counts as 2 kills on the crossmap medals.

Then if you beat me a 3rd time on a terminator game that again counts as 1 kill for the terminator medal. And if it was a different map from the others it counts as 3rd kill for the crossmap.
