Frustration

So,

I'm just wondering what you guys and gals do when you have a string of losses?? I started on this site and was doing fairly well until my last couple of games. Some of those games I thought I would win but either lost from bad luck or just plain strategy. Don't worry, I won't give up playing (hopefully winning) but I'm just wondering what you guys and gals do to turn your luck around?? Any tips??? or am I just having some bad luck???

I think maybe if you sacrifice your firstborn, this curse that's befallen you may be lifted...or just start kicking some ass!!! Hell ya!!!

Mix it up ... try playing a different type of game, e.g. flat rate instead of escalating, sequential instead of freestyle, team instead of standard, etc... Find a good partner and try out a team game.. you might learn some things.

I feel ya. I even started a thread much like this one after a particularly harrowing loss. It's a bitch when you feel like the dice gods or the cards gods or whatever are against you.

So let me pass on what some obscenely-highly-ranked people (and wicked  ) said to me:
Make sure you learn from each loss.
Try not to get too bent out of shape (the "it's just a game" philosophy).
Start up a couple new games and take another swing at it.
And if all else fails, have a few drinks, take a bong hit, and spend some quality time with a female with a nice posterior.

And remember: crappy dice rain on the just and unjust alike.

sometimes you loose only due having very bad dices in the wrong moment, but there will come another game where you will win due to some other guy having bad dices in the wrong moment,

sometimes you may have a loosing streak loosing 5 or more games in a row, but there will be a winning streak, the best thing to keep on motivated is to try learning from every game you do, if you loose think of the reasons in which turns did you made mistakes what could you have done better, what has the winner done better, have there been any tactics you haven't seen yet and so on .

if you come to the conclusion that you have done everthing right but though lost the game , you may just got unlucky dice or another player had a better startup position and also made no mistakes during game. well there will be games where you have the better position or better dices.

when you have more points than 1600 you should not play to much games against low pointed players , cause then a loss due to dices will hurt you very much :)

and never forgett the most important thing: it is just a game , and invented to have fun !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
