What is this?

I understand what a 'bump' is...

I understand someone bumping a 4year-old post is just odd.

Why the term NECRO?

Thanks :)

Because someone bumping a 4 year old thread isn't the same as bumping a 2 month old thread.

Different term for a different case.

I didn't "get it" before.

Perhaps had I gone to dictionary.com before posting it would've been made clear.

Thanks :)

You have to admit that the bump regarding gifts to lackattack was a short funny read. (http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=337

Eventually, there may be a time when all the good bumbable threads will be locked forever, unable to be soiled by fingers of dirty necrophiliacs. This will be a dark time, with much less enjoyment to be had by all...

Necrobump is called necrobump because it is an act of necromancy, ie. raising a thread from the dead.

I guess we could call necrobumped threads "reanimated threads" or "zombie threads".

the point of the matter is if the thread is bumped just for the reason to spam with out adding any new information pertaining to that particular subject then it is deemed a necro bump.( also more then a year old).
