What happens with troops collected but not used?

Just curious, and did not see this in the FAQ(hope this is the right forum)

In a game I'm playing a player begun his turn and got three armies to deploy. But before he deployed his troops he ran out of time. Will that player get 6 troops the next turn or can I just enjoy the fact that he wasted 3 troops for nothing?
