Differences between this site and Risk

I'm new to the site. I've played a few games and I was curious as to some of the rules differences between this site and risk and what they might be.

I was recently watching someone else's turn in a game I was involved in and I noticed he was able to move armies through his own occupied territory during his attack phase. This allow him to reposistion troops that were not adjacent to the desired target so that they were adjacent to them I've tried to do the same with my own turns but could not see how it was done. Normally this type of move is not allowed in Risk.

Anyone have any insight?

i cant tell you everything...but people will follow

theres adjacent.....fortify adjacent to countries once

chained....fortify any connected country once

unlimited....fortify all you want no limit to all connected territories

in doubles you can fortify your partner and deploy on him
but you have to own a territory with your armies to get a bonus

sorry no...you can only move them forward to where you attack...but in doubles freestyle your partner can fort you while you go so you can have a one and get a 5 if he connects to you and then make an attack

but for the most part, its the same

You can't move armies through your own territory and attack in the same round. You can move armies in the fortification part of the round. You're probably talking about unlimited fortification where you can fortify as much as you want to.

Differences between CC and Risk? CC has lots of maps so you don't have to just play the classic Risk map. Different rules like unlimited fortification, doubles and triples play, and freestyle. You can play freestyle on the Risk board.

Lastly, CC is online. Risk is in person.
