The most important thing is to have a general game plan or strategy that you should practice and work on. This strategy will change depending on what kind of game it is. My general strategy is to pile all my troops on one territory and making sure I get a card every turn. When the redemtion value gets up to around 10 to 12, look to see if you can cash in on your cards and elminate a player, if you do so the game should be yours. That is my general strategy, but there are alot of variances during a game. Usually I attack the weakest bording territory to get an easy card. But sometimes someone might be getting to strong and i'll have to attack and break up their continent. Sometimes I might see that i'll be able to take a continent and hold it easily while still having a large number of troops on my borders. But my general strategy stays the same. So work on a strategy that works for you, and get the major decision down before the game even begins. That will enable you to think faster and adapt more easily to a changing and evolving game.
