revenge feedback questions!!!

Can someone explain to me what exactly revenge feedback entails??? It seems when you read the forums that there are times when a person gets feedback removed for revenge which seems to be ok, and other times the feedback says "he left me feedback for doing something he didn't like" and that is not considered negative feedback.

I beleive many more people around here deserve negative feedback for things. but most players are afraid to give it because there is a good chance they will get negative in return and it will not be removed.

according to what I have seen, someone can give me a negative and I can respond with a negative as long as I word it right. I do not think it should become a race to leave negative after a bad game, I just think that something should be done to let people know that they can nick people who cheat or play dishonorably and not get burned themselves.

Even if it was just a CLEAR definition of the term it would help.

No, that would be considered revenge feedback and would be deleted if it's brought to a mod's attention.

It is not a race to see who can leave negative first. I read both feedbacks first before even looking at the time stamp. Some are obvious, as in the case you state above, but mostly it's a grey area. If it's not clear to a 3rd party that the feedback was left as retaliation, it won't be deleted. Basically what I look at is, is he responding to the feedback left for him.

Here are some examples of feedback deleted for being retaliatory:

Whatever man!!! Green was the biggest Threat and u even know it thats that bad thing. i don't leave negative feedback because i don't like wasting my time.

it is better to give positive feedback to those whom have earned it that anything else.

me and gmenwillstomp gave eachother negative feedback after a game (mine wasnt revenge, but i gave it to him after i got mine).

I am just curious if both of our feedbacks are fair and allowed. (and the game chat posted below is pretty funny.

Personal business aside, this guy is not very good at cc. He had control of half the world in a few turns, showing good skill. However, he failed to capitalize on this. later in the game, with 3 players remaining, he told the third player to attack me, despite the fact that I held nothing but a 3 point bonus continent, whereas he had continents of bonuses 6 and 4. I made a joke, and then he got even angrier, and announced that he would suicide me for the rest of the game, which he did, in the end causing him to lose to the third player. Just don't play with him, because he doesn't care about the game, just has a horrible temper and suicides whoever he doesn't like.

Thinks that since he has so many points, that he can tell others what to do and how to play the game. When the game starts to turn away from him winning, he gets really mad and unsportsmanlike. I will never play risk with him again. He just doesnt seem to understand people that dont care about the score. PS: this is NOT revenge feedback. i was going to give this to him, regardless of what he gave me.

Gmenwillstomp's response: If you'll look at the game chat, you will see I did none of this, and he was the guy telling others how to play the game, when he told an opponent to attack me, despite the fact that he was in control of the game. And that most certainly is revenge feedback.
