You cannot make him an account. He has to make his own account.

Isn't that just a matter of semantics? If they are playing on the same computer (logging out between turns, I guess), then they will have the same IP regardless of who actually "makes" the account. If they are playing on wireless, he could "make" the account for his friend on the latter's laptop.
Really, the point is that he can't PLAY two accounts.

Well if the friend makes his own account chances are he will be the only one who could play it in the future.
If sammy were to make the account for his friend then he would know the password and email address (and would know the password for the email address too if he created that) so therefore his friend COULDN'T play it in the future....but Sammy could.
I know he said the account was just for the night, but in effect he would have a second account created that he could log on to at any moment. On the other hand if his friend creates the account for himself they'd be on the same computer for that night but Sammy wouldn't be able to use it in the future.

All of this is true... assuming that the friend hid his password and also assuming that he's not using firefox (where the login and password would be saved). All I am saying is that it's pretty pointless to tell him that he can't make the account for his friend when, in reality, the end result is pretty close to the same whether he makes it or his friend makes it. Besides, if he really were doing this just so he could have a second account (and if his friend were only playing for the night), don't you think he could probably just say "Dude, give me your password... I'll build up your points" or some shit like that.
Larger point: I thought lack's response was off-base. A response of "it doesn't matter who makes it, but you can't play it for him ever" would have been more accurate.

Yeah, I understand where you are coming from as well. I think as a rule of thumb lack is saying "you can't create or use two accounts" because that is how the rule is written. Of course we wouldn't be able to tell who actually made the account, or really that there are two seperate people using the same computer for that night only.

lol
its complicated but without it bein like this cheatin would b too easy. i couldn't c a problem if he then didn't use the account on ur IP address again. i take turns for people wen they go away so it wouldn't b any different to that really.
