back when I used to often fall below or to about 1200.. and now that i'm a major and am gaining and hardly ever losing 1200 just seems so low and like a big drop that i'd never suffer through, but back then I thought i'd never get to major....I've been wondering, is that how the high colonels/generals think when they see majors?

I'm telling you, there are a lot of bad majors out there... it's just not the skill level it used to represent.

When I first started I was down to 700 points at one time, but I always knew I'd be a colonol.

I remember that too.. that was back when cahoots was still here, and wacicha. I was actually back in XI then... They showed me the ropes along with augusta... and then I joined the stache and my score exploded.

i knew id climb, but i played almost all freestyle when i started, and many many 3 player and 15 at once ...those early points were painful to get...gaining my captains badge was very hard..but the lessons i learned were priceless...when i have time for freestyle, i really can have some fun....then i started playing doubles and rose quickly
i took on a couple of partners who had just started, and they were captains in no time...although i was slightly jealous, they helped me too obviously
i usually dont worry about the points too much...i want to win every game, but dont pick them for points....when i get ambitious...i become a little more cautious in the games i play...when i hit rank 36...i never thought id lose again...
i was wrong...but ill be back
yeah

i have to say that it doesnt take all that much to get to major. i dunno what it was like in the good old days but i think bragging rights are colonel and above as of now

Im currently on a massive upswing. When i started i quickly rose to liutenant and stood stagnate there for ages, then ewl made clan tournaments, and as everybody there was major or higher, my wins gained me massive amounts of points to put me mid-major where i am now, I currently have 2 games in progress (trying to finish all games before christmas) and when i have those done i will have 100 complete games.

i made colonel for a total of 2 hours!
but generally i am at mid major. i do have some slides but usually never below captain.
I play some team games but mostley solo.
Points don't matter much to me, i just REALLY like to win.
plus i think the swords look cool.

Back during the summer when I had time to play freestyle games, wins were easy. I could steal other peoples kills and hold continents I had no business holding. That got me all the way up to 2450 and the #6 spot. Now with school I'm in the 1900's and forced to play sequential games. It's also really disappointing to realize that if I had my 2450 rating now, I'd only be in 19th place. The points have really gotten inflated after people started getting points from deadbeats...

I dont believe i have benifited much from deadbeats points or team games, mostly just playing highly ranked players.
