I know everyone has been complaining lately about the dice, but after this happenening to me in like 4 different games today, I feel like complaining too. On my first turn in like 4 games today I have not been able to get a card and killed off practically all my men trying to get one. Should I just not worry about that card?? Is that what the high rankers do?
Frustratedly yours,
Kristy

Sometimes, it is better to weigh the risk vs the reward. Sure you could try to spend all those armies getting a card, but sometimes it isn't worth it the first time. Most likely, you will get a card on the second turn, and many subsequent turns. It's always nice to start off with a quick card, but you I've survived and won many games without getting a card on the first turn.

It depends on what type of game you are in and your position. But i would have to agree that the first card isnt that big of a deal although i always go for it.

Never use 2 vs 2 dice in the first turn... NEVER!

i feel that sometimes it is an advantage NOT to get the first card, especially in escalating games where i go first.
generally i find that is the hardest time to get a card, and the game where the cards matter most.
It is better to stay strong and get a higher cash value, then kill your self in the first round to basicaly invite people to come kill you when you finally do get a set.
just the my opinion on it
