Games with Family members

My son (10 yrs old) wants to join and play risk online. He watches me and we talk about strategies and now he would like the opportunity to play. We talked about doubles and he wants to play against his old man in a singles game. We use different computers so our IP's would be different but we are in the same house.

My Q: Can we play in singles games together if we uphold the rules about strategizing and any allinaces?

How do we let players know that we are family ..some may feel uncomfortable about playing in a 5 or 6 person game if they knew we were family.

Any friendly advice would be appreciated.

PS..I dont think the points are a big deal until he passed me then it would be a big deal for him :)

my cousin anglophilervk and I play against each other and as doubles often and we don't find it a problem. We abide by the rules, and that is that. He lives in a different place so it isn't an issue. Never had any complaints.

Upgrading is always good way to clear names of suspicion. People will be more inclined to think you are multis if you are freemie accounts playing together, rather than premium. Also, you can use the 'Callouts' forum, and start a thread about a game. In it you could state you are family and want to play x and y settings, and that you do not intend to let family status get in the way. Then you don't have to worry about people accusing you, if you let them join the game knowing all the information, rather than you joining a game.

How do you tell someone is a premium account - bar the obvious that they either password a game, or have more than 4 games running - but that cannot be seen at a glance. I generally have no idea whether someone is a premium account when playing. I wouldn;t mind being able to see though :)
