Ooh, trying to justify your whinyness by "turning the tables"? I'm sorry, but it's not me who can not post one single post on the forums without some offhand reference to how the site is cheating you out of your victories. It's not me whose every single topic started in the GD reads like a 3 year old having a hissy fit tantrum. It's not me who's shouting obscenities to anyone who disagrees with my view. It's not me who's blaming everyone and everything possibly imaginable for my own shortcomings.

Not trying to turn the tables. Just pointing out the obvious, but it appears you may be too obtuse to comprehend such concepts. I never said CC was cheating me out of my victories, I merely stated the dice suck and it has become less about strategy and more about dice. It may not be you who is blame shifting, but it is not me either. I have never blamed anyone or anything for my shortcomings. I own up to that shit. All I am trying to do is point out that dice are fucking broken and need to be fixed. That they have diminished the gaming experience. For you not to understand this, is ridiculous and for you to come and make obvious statements towards me but not directly at me is shows extreme cowardice on your part. I don't care if you don't like what I post. It's not my business to care. Grow the f*ck up and quit acting like a total piece of shit. You are a coward trying to bully me from behind your keyboard. Not saying I am any different, but at least my own shortcomings aren't keeping me from saying so. The dice are fucked up and I don't like it, so deal with it and shut up. You chose to make this personal. Quit acting like you are so much better after you take the low road yourself. Can you feel it? Have I crawled far enough up your ass yet?

p.s. Quit poking the bear.

If it is true that you aren't blaming the dice for your losses, then your strategy should simply switch to, as streaker already pointed out, "always attack with improbable odds". You'd be golden.

Why is a captain with a 53% win percentage complaining about the dice? I'm being serious here... shouldn't I be complaining about the dice? Or am I a private because of game skills, but once you get to captain your obstacles to advancement are merely dice?

As opposed to pointing out that you really are blaming the dice for your losses, you mean?

You clearly are a private because you have no skill. He is clearly a captain because the dice screw him over. Get with the program.

I am complaining about the dice for the same reason nikola_milicki is. He has a 62% win rating and is a col. It has nothing to do with rank and win percentage, however. This is merely a dice thing. There is a noticeable difference in streakiness resulting in unbalanced game play and a loss of overall strategy. Maybe if the dice weren't bs, I would be at 54% and a major. Who knows? It doesn't change the status quo. Dice broke. Please fix.

I would like to point out, that I never ever have blamed the dice for all my losses. I have stated that there is a noticeable increase where they are the determining factor in games since the dice change, but not the result of all my losses. Yes, sometimes I lose games because the dice are fucked, but not all my games are lost from unbalanced dice. I clearly shouldn't be winning 100% of my games. Woodruff thanks for proving how asinine you really are.

Okay, riddle me this Batman: What if I was to tell you I was a major four months ago? What then? Dice or skill?

The difference between you and me is that I attempt to change my strategy depending upon the dice I'm getting. For example, way back when I was a captain, if it was a 9 v. 2 and I had just lost 0 v. 2 twice in a row, I would continue to attack because I knew the dice would switch over and I would win. Now, I no longer do that. I'll stop at 5 v. 2 because I'm fairly sure I'm not going to win.

So far it hasn't worked, but mostly because I still lapse into the strategy of "Maybe this time..."

The only possible explanation is that you were on an incredibly good dice streak, and you should have hated every second of it.

that's my point exactly. It doesn't matter what strategy you use sometimes. The dice are just that streaky and there is no strategy to account for it. You seriously don't think I've tried adjusting my strategy.

Except that everyone is subject to the same dice. You are subject to the same dice as I am. Woodruff is subjected to the same dice as you are. The current conqueror (whoever that is) is subject to the same dice as I am. So, your ascendancy to captain is not because of or in spite of the dice. Similarly, my descent to private is not because of the dice.

This is what people are trying to convey to you. If the dice are changed, everyone will still be subject to the same dice. They won't "improve" just for you, they'll "improve" for everyone. Thus, you won't gain any comparative advantage over anyone else. Effectively, you'll still remain a captain with a 53% win percentage (all other things being equal except the dice) if the dice are "changed."

The only difference is that I notice the change in gameplay as do others. The other thing you aren't taking into effect is how people respond to the change in dice. That effects gameplay and wins/losses, rank, etc. The dice also have an effect maps and settings. Certain maps are now more prone to luck than ever before. I understand the dice are the same for everyone, but I guess I notice the difference more. Perhaps I am just the random unlucky one who has the streaky bad dice at the wrong time and place. That is just as possible as losing 5v1 60% of the time. Point being, if the dice change and become less streaky i will notice the difference in gameplay. Not necessarily rank. I am not arguing or complaining about the dice because of rank. This is not a rank issue. It is a gameplay issue. The end user experience. Try to understand this.

I see - you are not complaining about your rank (relative to others), you're complaining that your gameplay is not as enjoyable because games are more prone to luck than to strategy. Sorry, I misunderstood your complaints (teaches me a lesson about joining the discussion without all information).

can somebody please explain this, one of u guys who think that the dice are ok maybe? andy? spock? natty? oh wait not u natty, this forum doesnt need another one of ur dumbass posts..
whenever Id ask these questions everybody acts like they dont see my post, same in this thread, one page since my post and still nobody has the answers for me..

nobody is mad about 1 or 2 shitty turns, but everybody is mad about days when dice are a frikin disaster in like 80% of the turns one takes that day... ppl are mad about losing 400 points in 10 days, how the hell is that possible if nothing changes in ppls play? how do u explain that when it happens to a good experienced player who lost hundreds of points cuz of bs dice and his only fault was that he had way too many active games at the bad time..

how can dice not be streaky and broken if something like this happens?? I usually spend 10 minutes in forum every day checking like 2-3 threads so if there's already an explanation somewhere please point me to it..

The more games you play, the worse your "worst dice streak ever" is going to be.

^ Exactly.

You will run worse with the dice than you will ever have expected if you play long enough. All of you expecting aveage outcmes all the time are insane. We are dealing with probabilities here and they are exactly that. Dont treat them like a sure thing. It baffles my mind that *smart* players actually complain abot the dice.

Then again, I've been playing poker at a high level for a lng period of time and even there there were always players blaming the cards and not their specific strategy. Its just a hard concept to grasp I guess.

I actually want to bet with all the whiners: call me to your games when you are about to attack 8 vs. 1 or wahtever. We can bet on the outcome, but you will have to take the worst of it (slightly worse than battleodds presents anyway) because you believe that you lose more than your fair share.

Now if only we can work out how to settle score. I'd be filthy rich real soon :)

I just won a 7 v 3, 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 and lost 4. Tell me the dice aren't streaky and don't cause an unbalance in gameplay.

u obviously dont understand what am I saying.. what does me getting screwed in 90% of my turns in 1 day or losing 400 points in say 10 days even tho absolutely nothing has changed in my play have to do with me playing here for only 1 week or 1 month or 1 year or 5 years?? and Im not saying probabilities that happen here sometimes are not possible cuz they are, the problem is we see way too many of these probabilities, some even get the opportunity to see them during 10 days time but unfortunately the cost is losing few hundred points..

That is simply just the fact that your thorough lack of skill is finally showing through. It was about time, because we were all wondering how you had managed to maintain such a rank anyway. <smirk>

Good strategy changes with the circumstances. Good strategy takes into account this "change in the dice". If your strategy isn't flexible enough to account for it, then I would suggest that your strategy is not as sound as you believe it to be. I think the major problem most of the complainers have is "the strategy I have always used that has always worked for me...no longer works", and they have not yet successfully adjusted to it.

I can honestly say i have not had any day wherein 80% of the turns I took were a disaster. In fact, I can't remember a day that has been close to that. I play a LOT of games at one time, and in many tournaments...so why do you think that might be the case?

What we have here is a failure to understand that no amount of strategy can take into account when the dice are going to become totally streaky. Sometimes it happens in the first turn of a game before you've even had a chance to move. How do you account for that? Plan your drop more carefully? ROFL! How do you change your strategy on a map like feudal? The point being is that no amount of planning or strategy can account for streaky unbalanced dice. I've tried different strategies, but going 0-9 in the first 2 rounds of spoils game equals death more often than not. There is no way around that.

If the dice seem to be going badly, stop attacking. Try to ride through the bad streak you're seeing. If the dice are going well, take more chances to take advantage of the streaks you're seeing. Unless you're auto-attacking everything (which is precisely what I do, by the way, though that's a matter of laziness rather than strategy), there is no reason why you cannot do this. Give the bad streaks to someone else.

There are always options.

I'm sorry Woodruff, but there are no options. Nothing can overcome the dice. The sooner you realize we must bow to our overlords and cease resistance, the better.

You don't think I've tried that, only to comeback and find my opponent has walked through half my shit? What a worthless response. You ignored the larger portion of what I wrote to give me advice I have already tried. And auto attack is the worst of when the streaks occur. I have pretty much abandoned the auto assault button. Please try again
