You have mis represented what I said. I win here by playing defensively alot of the time. The statistics show that attacking should have a slight advantage over defending. Why do I play a defensive game? It is a controlled Risk. I won't spread my self out too thin, this way, but I am not hurting or hindering a player very much.
I like to take small advantages where Luck, can do little to change my game plan.
3 VS. 1 is very likely to win. I just lost a 4 VS. 1, but I didn't HAVE to have that area, and my defense is strong enough to over come any single opposition. I am still fine even though Luck wasn't on my side. Play where you have the advantage and never allow yourself to be Killed because you are an easy target. Thats my creed.
I am not saying you can't lose a game based on luck. I recently lost with my partner where we had a strong position to start with, but he got bad rolls and I did as well, yada yada yada. We lost!
Luck CAN lose you a game, Luck CAN win you a game. I play where I have statistical advantage and force the opponent to meet me where he is weak. I thus have a better chance of winning.
Maybe if you think the dice are great for defense, then play defensively. Easy as that. I think the dice roll a little on the defensive side, do I complain? NO, I turn that into an advantage!
