...what Kenny said above there...

Here are my dice analyzer results - I've rolled more than some, less than others...but statistically, it works out:

These are all short term results your complaining about Rich. Luck is streaky, if it wasn't then I can guarantee you it is not random!

Do as others have suggested and download the dice analyzer and show your results after 10,000 rolls. Only then do your results become meaningful.

I don't know about your maths, but if the sequence you are complaining about, losing 13 armies in 13 rolls 3 dice vs 1 truly is 1,594,323 to 1 then it must also be true that ANY 13 roll sequence of results 3 dice vs 1 is also 1,594,323 to 1.

You complain about this sequence because it's a clear pattern (something which the human brain is very good at spotting) but it has as much chance of happening as all the other possible sequences out there which you wouldn't bat an eyelid at when they happen.

When you think about the sheer number of rolls being made every day by all players using this site it isn't hard to understand someone coming on this forum every other week to complain about a bad streak and therefore complaining that the dice aren't random.

What amuses me most is that no one ever comes on here saying they had an amazing lucky run of dice which proves the dice aren't random.

game 480155, i lost 18 (well 17, ones left =.=) trying to kill 3, and guess what? they still have 2 left. It's luck, if you have a winning streak your bound to have a loosing streak sooner or later.

No one can predict randomness, thats why it is called random

It may be true that math cannot predict randomness, however it is not the case that randomness cannot be tested after the fact.

In fact, that's what they do at random.org all the time. You can read about it here if your interested: http://random.org/statistics/

I say when the odds are 1,594,323 to against something happening and it does thats a STATISICAL ANOMOLY that needs an explanation. especially if it happens on more than one occassion

Math doesnt lie, regardless of whether the dice work for or against you that just aint right lol

Actually, to have 13 men lose to a country when attacking if it is only defended by a single troop is closer to 1 to 192,308. Not bad considering how many dice are rolled every day here at CC. Don't Believe me: Check This Out

hey rich, have you installed the Dice Analyzer yet ?

I am curious to see if you get different results. I found that once I got into 20 or 30000 dice rolls that I went fairly well to the averages and stayed there.

I go on horrible streaks from time to time...including one today where I did lose 11 in a row (not on auto-attack - which really shouldn't make any difference). Then again, I played a 1v1 the other day where it seemed I couldn't lose a roll.

I really am curious to see your dice results.

30000...heh....i threw 160000...all within a percentage point...mosty even, some crazy good rolls, some crazy bad rolls...go figure...they almost seem random

not to say they dont suck...but so do the lottery numbers...i never hit those

I sometimes delete the cookie to see what me rolls will be like for 1 game. I reset it about a week ago and my dice have been terrible since. I roll against 6's the most and 5's second most :(

Since i reset it, i've rolled against 369 6's and 311 1's. :(

Yeah. :) I'm up to 110,000 rolls or so since I reset the cookie (give or take a thousand) and the percentages are almost perfectly distributed like they should be.

I noticed for the first several thousand, there really were problems with the distrubution...but over time, it evened out.

It's not to say I don't curse the dice...because I have days where it seems I can't win at all. Whichever person said to log out and log back in is sort of right. I've found that when I go on a down streak that if I go away and come back in a bit, my dice seem to even back out, too.

curious as to how you arrived at your odds however I assure you that mine are correct according to the laws of probability

They seem to get stuck on win or lose. I have noticed that if I lose 2 men 3 times in a row while Im attacking i will continue to lose 2 men with each roll no matter how long it goes

I actually tried an experiment with this in a game which cost me the game I had 32 men to attack 6 after killing off 2 of my opponent I lost 2 men 3 times in a row so I kept rolling just to see how long it would go on.

I rolled 11 more times attacking the same country from the same country didnt change a thing and lost 2 men 11 more str8 times added to the original 6 thats 28 and i only killed 2

The same think happens if you are attacking a country with only 1 on it and you lose 3 times in a row. I tried same experiment and lost 10 more straight

How is it possible when rolling 3 dice to 1 to have the single die beat you for 13 consequative rolls. thats 39 to 13 and didnt win once

rich

:x  :(  :!:

i sort of agree. thats the ONE thing i like about land grab. even though i win and lose just as many rolls as i do here, its very rarely in giant sprees of death or ownage.

I can definitely tell they aren't too random. 3 on 3 always gets the defender 2 on the roll. But its good enough

I just lost 16 armys to my opponent's 1 lost army over the span of one turn in a 2-player no cards game. Needless to say I lost a huge advantage I had built up over several rounds. The point is the dice are random, and just because it has a low probability doesn't mean the rolls are broken when you see it.
