We're also still waiting on the proof that we are rude outside of Flame Wars.

but since we're not doing that...

and i would respond saying "No, i didnt slow it down. thats the speed its always been at"

But since we are now talking about Hijacking threads, I say "whats wrong with hijacking threads, anyway, if the first conversation has ended?"

OK.
I just counted.
we have 36 members.
Since DM is so awesome, he can count as 2 people.
that makes it 37 people against one GFY.

I love how noobish this sounds.

GFY is an option that is common on many forums/message boards and didn't come to CC as a commonly used phrase until the stachewackers took over the forum in July.

So you could make your username GFY and have no clue the significance it has here.

I love how pompous you sound Kyle

I also love the way you cherry-picked a single passage from the two posts I made and proceeded to concentrate on only one point therein. Furthermore I found it quite charming how you brushed over the fact that the phrase 'Gfy' does in fact have an unusually high incidence on these forums (with many posters citing it as a mandatory poll option). So while 'Gfy' is indeed a commonly used piece of internet vernacular; I was simply pointing out that because it has an added level of reverence attributed to it by posters here, it was worth noting as potentially significant factor in a wider ranging pattern of events.
You know, a pattern made up of all the other points I raised that you seem to have missed.

I wasn't saying 'everybody who is called Gfy ought to be scanned', I was simply saying 'users whose behaivour might be regarded as suspicious for several reasons ought to be scanned'. You certainly could innocently pick Gfy as a username, but in this case several other factors appeared to make the possibility that it was a 'random choice' more unlikely.

So better luck next time 'Rev', perhaps reading entire posts might help you avoid making stupid comments next time? Good luck on the 'make me a mod' campaign trail; I'm sure your inability to comprehend complex posts and your immensely pompous tone when answering them, are going to be winners at the polling booths.

Oh, and Gfy.

If there was no spamalot we would go to other forums to post and you would call that spam. Betyter to keep it in one topic than let it spread throughout the forums

Did you see those smilies Ham? Horrible, I tell you, horrible! Of course, I think the anyone who uses any form of animated smiley should be banned from the forum for 24 hours for the first offense and soundly whipped whenever he uses one again after that.

Call me ignorant if you will, but what is this lag that you speak of when referring to the multiple smilies? Does it have to do with being on dialup? or running a pentium 2 machine, because a modern connection and hardware should have no problem with a few pages of smilies.

The admin has just had a big discussion on whether to bring spamalot back. The answer was yes. And what trouble are we doing if we are just in one thread.

While the thread itself may not be a problem, the majority of the regulars posting there, or those trying to "join" a non-existant clan by posting BS (whether they're encouraged to or not - and face it, a "post count" requirement doesn't exactly attract intellectual posters) are. And before the crybabies start whining and say I'm singling them out, I'll point out I know who gets forum warnings, and the majority of late have been "regulars" in that spamalot thread. If you're still disillusioned to this fact, I'm sure IC or I can dig up some numbers.

Edit, here we go... recent warnins for hijacking threads, and this was AFTER we made it clear with the whole spamalot deletion incident that thread hijacking would NOT be tolerated. Apparently these guys didn't get that first message...

I'll let you guys compare the spamalotters with the list above.
