Its not hypocritical. Its not a poker players fault his opponent gets a flush and he only have 3 of a pair, But he knew the possibility of it. My god, apply your logic to other situations before you deem it right.

IT isn't my fault or anybody else fault you don't have 20 bucks. If you don't have a premium membership, you don't have extra privileges, you should be glad you can play for free.
WNxHotSoup wrote: It is also not their fault when someone joins there game not knowing it was a rt.
dahhhhh it is your fault if you make a RT game, and someone unknowingly joins the game, because it isn't password protected!

WNxHotSoup wrote:Secondly. We (me and the other guy) got annoyed that he was a dead beat. Is this our fault? Is this offensive in any way?

finally a chance to say "suck it up cupcake"

WNxHotSoup wrote:We are aloud to express our displeasure at him not being there in any way we please to a point, as the rules state.

What rules state you can express your displeasure... I don't blame him for dead beating one bit.

WNxHotSoup wrote: I didnt think

exactly! you didn't think about anything, like making a pass protected game, or posting a gripe, and then not expecting people to tell you are completely wrong.
WNxHotSoup wrote: We do take the risk, but we are still allowed to gripe about it if it fails.

Who told you that?
WNxHotSoup wrote:Ask any gambler. They know they can lose money, but they can still complain if they lose it. People are aloud to complain. Deal with it.

This is NOT a gambling site! and no one wants to see you cry when you make a mistake.
You need to deal with the fact that you can't handle the truth of the matter.... YOU screwed up, and now you can't deal with it.

WNxHotSoup wrote:Thirdly. Attila never apologized. Period.

Why should he apologize.... How do you find your front door in the morning? you can't be serious. He didn't do anything wrong, except join a game, and get crap from you guys.
WNxHotSoup wrote:He started by saying how it was our fault he joined and messed up the rt.

Completely right!!!
WNxHotSoup wrote: I know, it wasnt pw;ed, we take the chance that it might be gotten by someone who thinks its a normal game. This does not, in any way, mean its our fault.
IT IS YOUR FAULT! GET IT! DON'T DO IT AGAIN!
WNxHotSoup wrote:He posted this instantly, instead of trying to apologize to try to patch things up. He just put the blame on us for him not knowing.

I am glad he did that.. Maybe others will get the message and quit making RT games without it being private.
WNxHotSoup wrote: I know, he made a honest mistake,

He did not make a mistake, you made the stupid mistake and it is you to blame!!
WNxHotSoup wrote:check the live chat before joining normal games to make sure im not being a dead beat to any rts. I care whether or not i effect others games. Apparently, from what i hear, im the only one who cares enough to take the 15 seconds it takes. Odd that.

Where does it say in the rules you have to go to the live chat before you join a game... Most people care enough to make a RT private. Like I said before,

If you don't have a premium membership, and cannot make a private game, then find someone who does. If you can't do that then your out of luck... If you have to play RT that bad... get the prem membership.. and quit expecting people to join live chat before a game, nothing in this world will happen the way you think it should.

Nice analogy!

Seriously WNxHotSoup - even if you don't agree with the conclusion that you are 100% in the wrong to chew out someone who didn't make a mistake in joining your game - please accept the fact that you look even more foolish in how you defend yourself and just give it up.

To all other freebie players:

1. Don't start RT games because they should be started as a private game.

2. If you do start a RT game and you ensnare someone who doesn't want it to be RT, don't berate them. Once they say "no I am not playing RT" just walk away and say nothing.

Crap, ok 3 of a kind, grr! Anyway, i never chewed him out. He chewed me out and i defended myself. Im not some evil jerk who just pounced on him for no freaking reason. I never threated him either, i just complained that he was a dead beat. Im allowed to. Its an honest mistake. Its not his fault he didnt know. Its still a mistake. why the honest part is involved... I really dont care that he didnt accept the blame. Its that he tried to blame it on the host. Its not the hosts fault someone joined the game who didnt know it was a rt. And i get attacked just for doing this, which i find odd.

"Trash-talking" can be a fun element of the game and we take a liberal stance on what is allowed to be said in game chat. If one player offends another we generally do not want to get involved. However, in cases of extreme obscenity or extreme harassment (in our judgement) we may take disciplinary action against the offending member.

This pretty much means i can complain. As you said, suck it up.

As for the honest mistake, lets look at definitions shall we?

Honest:

honorable in principles, intentions, and actions; upright and fair

Mistake:
an error in action, calculation, opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, carelessness, insufficient knowledge, etc.

See, he made a error since he didnt have enough knowledge since he didnt know it was a rt, but he had good intentions, therefore honest mistake. If you argue the freaking dictionary your just being an idiot.

And again, the only mistake i made was joining a rt that would get dead-beated. I didnt make a game. I was told it had a pw in live chat. i joined. Odd, it didnt have a password. But the game was up, so it was good, for then. Then attila deat-beated. How is this my fault again?

Newsflash HotSoup: Your game didn't get deadbeated.

WNxHotSoup wrote:Crap, ok 3 of a kind, grr! Anyway, i never chewed him out. He chewed me out and i defended myself.

Wrong. I reviewed the game. You called him a deadbeat without cause. Then when he told you he didn't know it was RT - you kept on going.

Your diametric understanding of the situation is hilarious. Let me be more clear, because I think there are plenty of others like you.

If you start a public game, it is NOT real time.

You might want it to be. You might get lucky and it might turn out that way. You might ask everyone that signed up for your game if they want to give RT a go - but you simply don't have a real time game.

So when you insult a player for "deadbeating" when he hasn't, expect that you will be perceived as a jerk. If you realize your mistake just apologize.

You offer that your position is one of an "honest mistake" by implying Attila is at fault and should have apologized. You are clearly saying that you think you are the "bigger man" even though called someone a deadbeat, when he wasn't, and never once apologized once this was amply pointed out to you.

When honest mistakes are made, honest people apologize instead of continuing to blame their victim.

It IS the hosts fault someone joined the game who didnt know it was a rt.

The host made an error in action,

The host made an error in calculation

You make a even BIGGER error in opinion, or judgment caused by poor reasoning, by saying you will leave neg. feedback.

The host was completely careless when making a RT and not having it with a PW.

Do you get it yet?

and then you cry saying it is dead beated?

Foolish cry, I went and looked at the game

2007-05-21 14:04:52 - AttilatheHun receives 3 armies for holding Wales

he Took his turn today, and you call him a deadbeat....

You should be getting the negative feedback!

I have to point out that even THE HOST apologized to Attila...

WNxHotSoup has a rotten attitude, and cannot own up, when he makes a mistake.

I want to thank WNxHotSoup for explaining how when someone joins a non-password protected game he should apologize to the other players when it turns out that it was a RT time. I hadn't realized it was even possible to have a non-password protected RT game so I want to thank WNxHotSoup for correcting me about that. Since I don't want to be in a position where I need to apologize for my unmitigated gall in joining a non-password protected RT game, I've put WNxHotSoup on my ignore-list so that I can't make the honest mistake of joining a game in which he is one of the other players.

I think that's what they call a win-win situation.
Cheers,
