Hey Dibbun........FOED! You are an idiot! I have heard about you before, but this LMS tourney was the first time we've actually played against/with each other. Now I understand everything I've heard! LMFAOOO     I didnt sir.... and how did I know this is ACTUALLY what you were hurt about? Please reread... I said without any of my teammates.. yall wouldnt talk and I didnt wanna f*ck up the whole damn game while I was drinking so I asked saf to give me game advice at the beginning of this game... I did NOTHING wrong, I NEVER misrepresented myself and I was NEVER trying to throw ANYBODY under the bus; I was actually just joking with my clanmates who were on the other team bc of a totally different situation which has nothing to do with any of this or this game at all. There was of course no way for you to know that though because you were not privy to that information. Dibbun I am sorry if I did not word my joke to the other team correctly and if it made you look bad or made you feel like I was throwing you under the bus.

You said (wrote) all this:
Dibbun wrote:Somebody, who shall not be named, recently became distraught because I addressed this person in-game by their player color.

I would have let this go, but someone in live chat said that this is apparently common? Wut?

First of all, we're not friends. We may be friendly to each other, but I'm not inviting you over to my house to watch DA BEARS. Not sure why you need the kind of intimacy of addressing you by your name.

Second, we're talking about an 8 person game. That's a lot of damn people to keep track of, and it's far easier for me to refer to others as their color, so I don't have to convert name to color and back again every time I want to type something or read something in game chat.

Third, this person did not even address me by my name when I asked why there was offense taken, rather using a name of "affection," I don't know, was it "sweetheart" or something?

So why all the agony over this? Does it make sense? Do you get upset when people don't call you by your name in game chat?

'Scuse me, bro, but Da Bears Nation spans... Da whole nation!

The color "sir," of course.

Ok, Exhibit B:

In a manual deployment game, you took 3 neutrals on your second turn. Learn how to deploy, and don't pretend like I won because of my dice rolls.

For all you multigate morons, use map rank and see that I hit a point total of around 600 at around 60 games. Then, somehow, I got better. How? Because I didn't blame the dice for my losses, like noobs like you do.

Yes, because a major is definitely a noob, and he obviously blamed his entire loss on the dice.

Look, Sometimes the dice love you, sometimes they hate you. All you can do is play to the best strategy and hope the dice comply. I've had games where I didn't even need to think hard at all because the dice did all the work, I've had games where I was able to turn it all around because of some great dice, and I've had games where I go 5 rounds before finally being able to take a region. Sometimes the dice really DO screw you out of a game. The difference is recognizing that it was only 1 game and moving on, not blaming dice for all subsequent losses.

So are you saying he deployed and played his second turn correctly in a manual deployment game if he took 3 neutrals? Look at my second turn in that game and you will see a wall of me conquering just him, no neutrals.

Dice had nothing to do with it, it was him having beef with 9 neutral troops and being too big of a noob to accept that fact that his plastic knives could not save him against someone who was better, and erroneously attributed my victory to lucky dice.

I'm used to arrogant people, and their idiocy is a reason why you best believe that when I drop a game to a cook or cadet or whatever, I don't bitch, but hey, I have class.

Dibbun, look, I'm trying to be reasonable here (something that few people want to do). I said it before, and I'll repeat myself here. A little respect goes a long way, even if it's online. Looking at that game chat, I'm sure you could interpret that last line as arrogance. The same goes for the OP of this thread, where calling a teammate by their color elicited a negative response. Lose graciously, win graciously, and treat people with some common decency.

And if you want to take this post as "dad talking to me about the Golden Rule" nonsense, that's fine too. Just try to understand why people have a different opinion from you and it can avoid misunderstandings and hurt feelings later.

Read the large text then understand the argument I am making. Don't compliment me on dice if I beat your ass with superior strategy. Or go ahead and do it and I'll forget about it unless you carry it around with you steaming and then try to rage in a thread concerning a completely unrelated issue.

Honestly I doubt most of you read entire threads prior to posting, you just pick a side based on the names and shotgun a response, hoping a pellet will stick.

I only lose because of dice. It's a fact. My random is better when I am team one than when I am team 2. I'm sure that is real random.

So I prefer to be called red or green.

I'm saying that the last line was unnecessary. I've had losers tell me that they had bad dice or I had a good drop or I had good dice, all of which may have been true. If it bothers you, take the high road and don't say anything except gg. I've won with bad dice, lost with good dice, won dropping a bonus, lost dropping a bonus. It's the inherent randomness of the game. I wouldn't be insulted if someone commented on something which may have been true. So if people complain about bad dice or gloat about good dice, I'm not about to get all riled up over it.

And FYI, I'm trying to be impartial here. I've always tried to be fair, you know that. I'm trying to see your side of the argument, please try to see my side.

In 8 players standard games I usually call my opponents by the wrong colors, very explicitly and annoyingly in a very provocative and moronic way. Just to add confusion to the game.

I'm with saf. Play nice and eveyone will love you. I don't look at names of people posting to determine whether or not I agree with them or disagree. I do know look at names to see what kind of attitude I should take when responding (mainly if it's someone I know better, I get sarcastic and joke a little more).

As far as the OP's topic: I try to call people who are on my team by name. Other than that, I always go with color. I've never had anyone have a problem with this method. I wouldn't have a problem with either in a game if it were me. When I'm playing with partners that I don't know well, sometimes it's easier to call them by color than name. I don't think that anyone should be too offended by it.

As for dazerazer: she has called me sweetheart (or something similar) every time I've ever encountered her. I don't think you should be too upset about that. She's a very nice lady.

it is my obligation to post in this thread since i just read the whole thing for some reason.

dibbun, you started this to complain about somebody overreacting to your harmless comment, and how they are inferior to you because of their lack of emotional control. (yeah, i paraphrased it)

You go on to overreact to every single harmless comment made about you throughout this entire thread, even if they arent attacking you, or pointing out your little weiner and your tiny nuts, i mean hypocrasy, poining out your hypocrasy.

But seriously, do you have a really little wiener, and some tiny little nuts? not all the facts are in, but this is starting to look like the most likely reason for this moronic buttsore complaint.

tiny little nuts.
