The question is ambigious.

The "are you happy" part is really vague.

Am I happy with the fairness? Am I happy with the results? Am I happy with a random sequence of rolls in a recent game that I lost way more than I should?

Stupid poll. Question should be "Do you believe the dice to be random?", not "Are you happy with the dice?". The question at hand will tell you absolutely nothing.

After about a solid month of losing more troops than I gain in virtually any given battle (ok maybe only about 75% of the time, but its a tough slog to get anywhere.. the rare time I am winning I find some cook suicides into me for no logical reason) I decided a few hours ago to download this add on so i could atleast track how incredibly streaky my dice have been without being accused of being biased (sorry ive only got these 3 last game moves made since the download, but believe me they are indicative, and im happy to send more as I make my turns - these rolls have lasted for atleast 3 weeks now. Ask my triples partners VestedPower and Das Killa when last week i attacked with 20 v 5 and lost 17 troops to the opponents 1 troop, I stopped when 20 v 5 became 3 v 4. Or yesterday when I almost owned scandanavia with a 7 on one side and a 4 on the other with some opponents 1 in the middle: I lost the 7 and then the 4. We are all 1 1 1 now, so that was a thrill. I never attack 3 v 1 it works for me less than 10% of the time, my losses today were made with a 5 v 3 bare minimum but I dont even like doing that lately, (7 v 3 average rolls made), Ive lost 4 ranks in 3 weeks and I think I win about one in four dice rolls on average... and heres a print of my defence dice ....



Pretty streaky!!!Pretty much totally unbeatable every time - all the strategy in the world wont save you from a streak of double sixes all day long. Note that appx 50% of those are a 5 or 6.. more than 33% are sixes - and most of those are double sixes. Im lucky to gain a territory really. I never attack below 5 v 1, and even then im lucky if i get it.
And for all the "oh its poor strategy stop whinging" ppl - would you be happy with these dice? Hard to win no matter what your strategy when your troop count declines per turn. I think at best today i could say I "broke even" wahoo!!! Same as if id not played a move whatsoever.

Infact had I not, like every other person whos dared question the almight intensity cube gods, id have been accused of making the whole thing up .. ok heres my move 2mins ago (5 v 2 and then in desperatiion 5 v 3) Then I did like I usually do, forget trying for a spoil and start round one of every game with 11 regions while everyone else has 15 or so.

I was waiting for another one of these posts. I played a REAL game of RISK on the board with REAL dice with my kids this weekend.

I saw the same streaks as I see here. In fact if anything I saw more draw results (win 1 lose 1) with the real dice.

The dice here are random and act randomly.

Give up. And I'm not voting because I'm too self-important.

I attack 6 with 22 and lose 6 on the first 3 rolls this morning, defense rolled nothing but 6s (4) & 5s (2). Random my ass, this site sucks and the moderators have their heads either in the sand or the clouds.

I have played Risk for over 40 years. If the dice on the board game were as fucked up as the ones here I'd melt them down and make coasters with them. The dice here suck, not even the illusion of randomness in my opinion. Too bad as the rest of the site is ok.

I generally think the randomizer is ok, so I decided to check it out. I've been having a bad run the last few weeks and wanted numbers to back up the feeling of sucking lately. According to my dice analyzer (it's a great add-on by the way), over my last 1000+ attacking rolls of 3 dice vs. 2 dice, I've won 2-0 31.74% of the time, went 1-1 34.13%, and 0-2 34.13%. It's supposed to average to 37.17% - 33.58% - 29.26%. So I roll 0-2 5% more often than I should and 2-0 6% less often than I should. My dice have been below average lately, but 1000 rolls is not that many statistically speaking, so I don't hold much weight with the results. That the dice are streaky, I agree. I hope my streak does a 180.

That's generally the issue with these type of discussions. Somewhere in another topic I mentioned:
"Intensity Cubes are a little like politics. More often than not, you'll never win someone over to your side with any amount of evidence/hearsay/inference one can muster."

This applies to both sides of the argument---those who see things as fine, and those who see things as broken or out of whack.

I've defeated an 11 with only 1 troop before on the board game Is that supposed to happen?

Maybe they beat the lottery more often because they get thrown so often, that you reach those lottery odds faster?

And I don't think the dice suck. I actually like them, and that is not the moderator in me talking. I liked them even before I became one.
