I voted "No." It's okay if a leader lets his clan member know that he has beef with this player, and it's all right for him to strongly recommend that the clan member stay off of this player's team. However, I think it's going overboard to threaten expulsion from the clan.
Though A clan leader should have the right to kick his member out for doing such a thing, I believe it's bad form and should be looked down upon.

While I do think it's stupid for that other clan leader to make that requirement, I find myself in agreement with karelpietertje...whether the individual chooses to stay in the clan or not INCLUDES the choice of whether they are satisfied with following those dictates or not. They know the requirements of the clan...so they must choose.

A clanleader should be able to let people not playing with other people only if all the clan members know about it and agree. If this issue is very important for the clanleader he must inform new members about it the very seconds they're in the clan. If not, to bad for the clanleader, but he can't blame anyone then.
My personal thoughts if i would be a clanleader:
first of all i would make a clanrules topic in forum so everyone would know about it when they join the clan. I never would forbid my clanmembers to play against or with someone. (CC is a game and games are used to have some fun. Otherwise you better step into politics) If there were any issues between my clan and another clan, i would try to solve it. (asking a 3rd group if i couldn't succeed) If there were any issues between a clanmember and another one (same or different clan) i would try to be a great diplomat and solve it out. If i had a personal issue with someone, i would not use my clanleader position to make a big fuzz about it. i would just keep it personal and maybe time heals the hurts.
My personal thought if i would be a member who got been dictated by clanleader:
1.If they just told me without being forceful or rude: -i could have to make the choice to listen and stay in the clan. -i could prefer to play with anyone i like and leave the clan. 2.If they are really dictating me so i wouldn't feel comfortable with: -or i quit the clan instantly -or i would have a serious talk with the clanleader ASAP (but not that very moment)

Enough is enough. Neither Megas or I were part of this battle and somehow we were BOTH dragged into this. You guys are allowed to play with whomever you choose, as am I. If my clan leaders feel so strongly about whom I play with that they want to kick me out, then so be it.

Dictators have been revolted against since the beginning of time. We live in a Democracy in the USA. Clan Leaders are not dictators however. They have put a lot of time and effort into the clans they lead. It is strictly voluntary whether or not to participate in a particular clan. The reason I respect and admire the Brotherhood of the Fat Mermaid is not because the leaders are dictators I assure you. It is all about having fun and knowing so many different people from all over the world is part of the fun. Thats my humble opinion.
