Hello I am Franzino(Soloman), I am just your run of the mill father of 5(4 boys 1 Princess) who happens to Love playing here on CC, and the board game in real life. I have a fiancee named Tracey(Trackersdream) who also love this game and plays online and a notoriously obnoxious baby Brother named Anton(Risk Master2000) who introduced me to this site.

My oldest son Demitri loves to play also but I do not believe he has created an account here and prefer the Online game Rune Scape which he plays with Anton and his friends since my son is 2 weeks older he gives his younger uncle a hard time about all wins. I have another son Named Marsell he is 9 and not quite good enough to play with his brother but loves to play Castle Risk more then traditional.

With this all said I wanted to get the introduction and basic Background out of the way so I could delve deeper into the minds of the rest of the CC universe. I have found that I get along with 98% of the people here but that 2% drive me nuts. I am hoping that this thread can be a sounding board where with interaction on a basic postive level maybe some of the factions can get to understand each other and there backgrounds and start to bridge the scisms that has us at time at each others throats.

Since we are online people have a tendancy to lash out and present themselves in manners that they would not normally present themselves in the real world. If we can bring back some of the human factor of player intimacy(as far as basic knowledge of an individual) I feel we may become a less abrasive CC. If this thread catches I will engage and share more with those that share and are interested.

Well I hope this thread can eventually be the lngest running thread on the site. I look forward to learning more about everyone friend and foe...

Actually I guess I did not explain it cleary enough. I kind of thought that my introduction structure and content would be an archetype but here let me flesh it out. This is about CC and Folks experience with it interwoven with there own personal information, to just talk about self without discussing the game of risk would be a diservice to this thread. I believe your playing history and introduction to the game should definitely be a main point in posts relating to this but I also beleive other personal elements can be added to the conversation also.

Think of it like your friend just brought somebody new to play with you and him and then you of course ask if he knows how to play and the 3 of you begin to make a conversation about when you started to play whom you normally play with etc.. You see where I am going with this? The main topic is CC and how you connect to it and it connects to you? Things like when do you play or why you play, Is it for the points, to meet new people, the sense of competition, all of the previous, none of the previous? In summary this is not an off topic but an ontopic conversation and I feel it would be best suited here in general.

To be honest My father is in Prison and will not be free till 2020 so it is a bit of a sore subject he has been there since 99 he was convicted of murder in the 2nd degree, before that he sold drugs, and before that he went to law school. My father taught me how to play Risk Stratego and Chess. IN highschool he was a state champion of chess. I hadn't played risk since I was a kid (likely at least 20 years ago) and was turned on to CC from a Fantasy Football website's social board called The Tailgate. My wife doesn't like strategy related games (a bigger fan or word games) and my dogs are, quite frankly, very bad at it. So, it's pretty much just here. I found a risk game at a thrift shop a while ago for $1 and picked it up but everybody knows how much I'm into it here and wont play me.

I joined January '07, got super into it right away, slowed down for a few months and then came back strong around January of this year.

Been playing risk since I was a kid,joined CC because nobody would play the board game with me any more My son ( comic boy ) used to hog the computer but now that he has taken a break from the site I have gone premium and play more regularly, try to keep my temper under control but have little tolerance for poor play im afraid. On a personal level I used to run a digital printing business but got fed up with the rat race so now just work a few hours a week to keep the brain ticking over.

Didn't really seem it, sounded more appropriate in FW.

Anyways, I'm 16, living in Kansas, friend over in England introduced me to this site. Loved it every since Always loved playing the actual board game, and we'd make house rules, changing things around, making it more interesting. Eventually lost players for it, and had to settle for the computer game once in a while. Needless to say, that's not nearly as good.

Found this, played MANY games with my friends, just recently started playing with other players, and was given premium a few days ago, and am enjoying everything on the site nowadays

Been online for a long time, though, on other things. Which is how I met my friends in England, Australia, Germany, Poland, Russia, France, etc. Could go on for a long list of countries

I personally, am annoyed with horrible grammar. Minor punctuation, capitalization, that and some more is fine. But entire sentences ran together, no period, no stops, in long paragraphs, and the use of abbreviations in all sentences (i.e. "u" "you"). I love to read books, and enjoy them, along with a long history of typing on forums and sites where improper grammar and spelling is not rewarded, to put it mildly, has turned me off of people that won't type moderately correctly. They're either exceptionally lazy, or somewhat stupid.

And people who blatantly disagree with my moral principles. Such as stances on drugs, DUI's, etc. I have no respect for those people. I'll play them respectfully, but I personally won't. I gotta be honest with that, so don't get mad at me for it ^^

NO Social but more detail is always good how long have you been playing rishk what got you here the site? SOme people think I am a jerk also but others realize I am just curt and or brutally honest. I guess it all goes with the mentality involved in playing agame of conquest

I'm a cynical old git, interests include my Grandchildren, but definitely not my Children, can't stand them, they went and bloody well grew up, and got opinions on just about everything, normally juxtaposed to my own.

I play this game because I enjoy any game that includes an element of strategy, but then I love playing Snap with the afore mentioned Granchildren. Have played Risk in various forms for around 44 years. Play a lot of no dice Risk at home, but we wont go there, also designed, binned, redesigned and binned again, a 3 dimensional map, never really worked, far too complicated, so let's not go there either.

I have a thread going in GD, called General Congratulations. started it so I could vent my spleen from time to time, in a nice ironic way.

My belief is that the Dice Gods are capricious swines at best and treacherous ba****ds at worst. Their poor relations the Cards Gods are no better, and if you have the temerity to leave them out of a game, they whisper in the Dice Gods 'shell likes' just to make your life even more difficult. The Drop Gods can be particularly noxious, knowing their influence wanes as soon as the shooting starts. The whole family sit there like mean spirited, venemous peasants wishing pain on us all, laughing at our frustration, gleefully dancing when the best laid plans go awry due to their malicious nature. So I always spit venom back at them every time something goes wrong (much the same as I do to the Human race actually).

That about sums it all up.

My real name is not Ralph, Cody, Marlene, Susie, Harold, Vlad, Peachy or Sassafras and I am a conquerholic. I found this site after playing Risk for the first time at thanksgiving (late nov. 2007) with the inlaws in Michigan. Liked the whole strategy thing plus luck of the dice thing at the same time. After getting on this site I went a little wild on 1 vs games and speed games and late nights and all. My first hint that I may have a problem was the dreams of terminating a player in the next round and hoping I could run the board. Then I learned about Dirty Dish Soap with 220 games going at the same time and felt better about myself cause at least I wasn't as bad as him. I didn't loose my wife or my 3 kids because of my addiction, I didn't even miss a day of work. Some people say "thats cause you were on un-employment at the time" but I know if I did have a job at the peak of the addiction I sure could've handled it (right). I didn't waste time on sleeping at night in January cause I needed to learn more about the game. Who knows when the freestyle player in Europe is gonna take that crucial turn and start the next round, right? To make a long story short I have been clean now for quite some time. No more dreams about the red 21 jumping to the bordering country, no more late nights (what time is it? crap 11:30 already) and no more freestyle. I am down to 13 games and dropping down. I will keep a few going for sure but not too many. (20 was my usual for a while)
Really though
- I do commercial painting and roof restoration/waterproofing with Jan-March off work.
- I love my family
- I love Jesus and want to see his glory in all the earth.
- I want to see miracles happen even if I pray for someone through a web site like this.
- I like this game, especially 8 player Terminator games, bring it!
- I like my new crown I got this week. Lets see if I can rock it for a while.

You Know Johnny you are a sad dude to come here and try and be disruptive you are wrong and I was cleared let it go. You Want to see my Fiancee she has her picture in her account or better yet go to my myspace in my signature has a link to her page with pictures of our children on both. Get a life and girlfriend(or boyfriend what ever is your thing) that does not charge by the hour and realize not all people spend there whole lives at home playing hand happiness in between CC turns. Some of us have family and enjoy interacting with them in games...
