Were you aware that up untill recently using the word "gay" could get you banned? Could you elaborate on your rare experiences?

Symmetry wrote:Concise description:
Using the word "gay" should not be deemed automatically a bigoted term.
Specifics/Details:
I received a ban from chat for using the word "gay". The mod who delivered the ban thought that I should make a suggestion topic. I was surprised that CC considered it to be a slur.
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
I think that the word "gay" shouldn't be taboo and seen as an insult. It bothers me that CC currently thinks it is taboo. The site would, in my opinion, be better off if the word "gay" was not considered taboo under the current rules

As long as words like 'cupcake' are not censured, then it still has some way to go.

you have yet to show an instance of "cupcake" being used as some sort of homosexual slur.
additional, the OP is trolling. already posted the thread that was locked down (Subject: Gay should not be considered taboo)... he is now in his third forum, seeking whatever it is that he is trying to do. but, while you are making your usual claims of CUPCAKE being a homosexual slur, let me post this for you:cup·cake

The way you're interpreting cupcake is homophobic, not the way it is used.

It's clearly being used to suggest a lack of masculinity and moral fibre - as if the poster were not strong enough to ignore the thing about which they're complaining.

In battle, turning tail and fleeing before the order is given is an automatic execution. Nobody would expect a pretty young lady (read:civilian) to stay and fight, which is where the male version of cupcake comes from. It has nothing to do with homosexuality, just that you deserve to die.

If you quote historical literature as a reference, gay just means happy.
Anyway, do what you will. I've had enough. Play on in your ever-decreasing circle. I'm finishing my games and my final contribution will be to the "is CC declining" statistic.
clangfield wrote:To answer the OP... when was it ever not inclusive to all?
After all, there are plenty of posts here about cupcakes, butts, videos of little boys...it seems all are allowed.
