What caught my attention was his above average dice on the offensive and even more so were his defensive dice. Has he somehow gotten in the dice program? I have little if anything to go on here, but even dumb luck seems not to be a reasonable answer to so many good players getting not only beaten, but hammered. I just thought I would start a discussion, nothing more

Believe it or not, this game is actually won by skill and not dice. If there is a significant difference in skill levels, the dice will never save you.
I might agree with that. I have seen so many since 2006 which included ones against myself, but Im pretty sure the author of this post was just being a tard.ChrisPond wrote:this thread is awesome! is it even possible to "hack" the dice...just giving this guy the benefit of the doubt which he does not deserve.
next time someone has some lucky dice against me I am reporting them for cheating! i will probably post it in game chat as well...something like "reporting you for your dice you cheating SOB"
i am getting used to seeing the current "Conqueror" in the C&A discussion, but this may be the best one ever.

First and foremost GO is indeed a skilled player and skilled player do have a knack of creating their own luck by playing smart and exercising good strategy. Secondly, I am not a computer programmer by any means, but I wanted to raise the question if it was possible and what sfaegurads players have against it. If it does exist, is it something that can be turned on and off as needed as not to be detected?
What raised my eyebrows started as a friendly e-mail with invites to a wide range of games, of which I joined ten. I got the sense GO was pressing for the top spot which is all good, and I did my best to make sure his road there did not come through me. After starting the games it was quickly apparent I was getting whipped, which again is fine. I have been whipped by players before and I have whipped others. And to GO's credit he played excellent, but it is hard to do otherwise when he deploys 3 men and takes out 10 and when I deploy 3 I am getting one man and this over the course of ten games. I was writing down the dice stats and I was -57% on my luck and he was +62% which is fine for a short duration, but it seemed to carry on from one game to the next. I would go to my other plays and all seemed normal, and then return to my games against GO and the same crap dice. I even wrote to his wall because it was beyond luck and he respond to my wall and deleted my post to his. I was then reminded of games I was playing with GO about 8 months ago and I have no idea why, but his account was suspended for a period and I never found out what that was about. All this is very circumstansial and I have nothing to stand on, but thought why not raise the topic and see what others thought and if any one else had any thing to add.
From reading what others have said I feel like a clown for even bringing this up and my apologies to GO and anyone else if my imagination has run away on this, but I hope the explanation above tells why I started a conversation.

what your missing is, have you ever played a 10 game series with someone and won all 10 games with great dice? I have and quickly forget about those games because I get pissed off about those I lose. Its all about being at the right place at the right time or in this case, getting the right dice and cards at the right time. I keep reading over and over about being a skillful player. Any monkey can join a classic game and know that Aussie will be the hot spot and deploy accordingly. There is no skill. Its all about who gets the right dice at the right time.....and cards. Most high ranks have higher points because they play behind gimmicks that use fog/trench on difficult maps. There never is "skill". Its how can we con another player on the site for points. I recently sent out invites to almost every player over 3,000 points and maybe 3 or 4 players accepted the invites. They had neutral settings. This proves once you take them out of their comfort level, gimmicks/games, they refuse to play. I said it in another thread, I have 3 active games against Great-Ollie and will probably win all 3. So that kinda throws any dice theory out the door for me. Not that I believe that to begin with. What I dont like is, stalling on the games so we can become Conqueror and than play real time and lose all our points after achieving it. Again, gimmicks/games. I have no opinion of GO. I am not sure if I will ever play him again.Nor do I care. Just adding my 2 cents.

Yeah, dude. G-O knows his shit.

G-O is still a worthy opponent. I'm not sure why people get so butthurt about the latest Conqueror drama.

I have no problem with people doing what they need to do to become conqueror; I do however have a problem with people that flip-flop between decisions, that's all.
Not sure how they can deem this type of play "gross abuse" when it is totally within the rules; no missed turns, no hostage taking etc. a person has 24 hours to make a move, period!
