sorry, newbie question

Hi,
I'm new to the site but not to Risk.
I have one question: If you knock out a player do you get their cards?

However if a player misses 3 turns in a row they have "dead beated" and are kicked from the game. All of their armies become neutral (a gray white color) and their cards go back in the deck. So even if you defeat all the neutral armies, you don't get the cards that person once held.

Also, you don't have to beat the neutral armies to win the game but you do have to attack them if they are on your continent in order to get the bonus.
