Perma-Banning: Fair?

Postby jnd94 on Wed Dec 12, 2007 6:19 pm

I just read the thread for Rev K's perma ban. Now, I'm all for perma bans when they involve people who constantly cheat, but I think a perma ban is pretty harsh for what he did. Maybe something lighter? Maybe I just am soft, but if I was perma-banned for what he did, I would rip my hair out.

Your opinions?

Permas should be for multis, secret alliances, spamming, and posting offensive pics/links.

not flaming.

It was for posting too many pictures of porn.

Apparently, the fact that he used another account to post during his ban had absolutely no influence on the decision of the perma-ban.

I said 3+ multis but I think 2 multis maybe too. Not just one though. I think score reset should not bring you to 1000 but to 1.

Don't now why people on here don't like being cooks, remember under siege: A former SEAL, now cook, is the only person who can stop a gang of terrorists when they sieze control of a US Navy battleship.

You guys are confusing terminology. RK was banned from posting in the forums (for repeatedly posting links to porn), not the site. He was banned before using the other account to post. That other account (zach) was inactivated.

i think that if you are a repeat offender often enough or multiple times in a short period of time you qualify. doesnt matter that you broke, if you broke it and are banned they tell you why so you DONT break ti again. if you break it again, well that clearly shows you have absolutely no intention of following the rules. several more offenses later it becomes extremely clear that the best way to deal with this is to cut it off. why the heck would you keep doing something if you know it was wrong? i dont care if you feel some need to be popular among a society of complete strangers that you will likely NEVER SEE so just DONT DO IT

seriously, RK was also banned so many times

all those things up from 3+ multis is good for perma ban.

anything with gameplay should be perma ban, anything with forums should be perma ban from forums.
