CDT (Central Daylight-Savings Time, which is for US and Canada, but right now Daylight Savings already ended in US, but lack is canadian, as some have mentioned)= UTC (Coordinated Universal Time) -4. This is one hour faster/ahead of CST (Central Sandard Time, which folks in, for example, Kuntucky, are using right now.)

If your in boston, or any where else along the United States' Eastern Coastline, CDT = whatever ur time is, because central time is an hour behind eastern time, except since it's daylight savings it's an hour ahead, which cancles out.

And, technically speaking, GMT (Greenwhich Mean Time) is not the time zone of greenwhich. GMT is just the time as observed from the Greenwhich observatory in England, based on the position of the Sun in the sky and the angular position of the Earth, which can be off by fractions of a second from UTC. so from now on as u go about ur lives, stop thinking about time zones as GMT plus or minus some number, think of them as UTC plus or minus some number! 'cause the GMT thing isn't right, the two can be off by up to half a second... even if most people use GMT plus-or-minus, including the time zone settings on this website.

there, now, i think that should satisfy everybody's information needs in regards to what CDT is.
