What if your oppentent missed a turn and you receive a card

Postby deliaselene on Thu Oct 18, 2007 4:06 am

I see many players missing a turn as part of their game play while others are deadbeating for reasons unknown. As you can't tell which applies to reduce the effect of multipy armies you received a random card?

1. Wrong forum question and answer is that way. ^
2. I am not sure I understand your question.
If a player misses a turn or two they do not get a card for that turn. When they take a turn after missing one they get the armies for the turn(s) that they missed as well, but they may recieve less than they would have if they lose a bonus or territories. If they take thier turn but do not end it they don't get a card.

i think he is trying to suggest that if a player misses a turn, then all the other players get an extra card for that round.

you need to use the form if you want it to be looked at by the mods

The way I read it was that if a player misses a turn, instead of getting multiplied armies, they just get a card.

I think...

I think he is wondering about how a missed turn affects the escalation of armies recieved for cards turned in.

If that is indeed what you are asking, then it does not affect the turn in amount at all, the pay off for cards is based solely on the number of sets turned in, not cards handed out.

My apologies if I misunderstood...

I didn't miss the title, it's just the post itself leads to the confusion.

Giving someone else a card that they did not earn is a terrible idea. It's not always a benefit to have a card. There are several times in an escalating game that I would love to force an opponent to take a card. If this was implemented, you would see many more people missing their turns in escalating to force cards on others so they are stuck with the lower turn in.
