Starting triples games?

A couple friends and I want to play triples against other teams. The thing of it is, if one of us starts the game, we'd pretty much have to be on the phone or something in order to all join in a row and be on the same team.

So far, the only real solution we've thought of is to have one of us get logged in as each of us and quick join all three after creating the game - but what a pita that would be.

Is there some simpler method? I see groups of guys waiting for triples games all the time. How are they doing it?

Most you there IM and when all are on the comp they start them if a game gets an added person not of the group then they drop that game

You have pretty much worked out the 2 options,neither is failsafe and on occasions you will find that a player jumps in ahead of one of you.
The only foolproof method is to set up a password protected private game but then you have the hassle of finding an opposing team either through callouts or by PM.
