WTF happened to CC?

Sorry but I am facing the same prob here as well ever since there's this new speed game option..

Now, everytime when i wanna do my attack or fortify, it will slowed alot. I will see this gif picture with a "loading" sign when it used to be instantaneous.

So how do I go and shut down this AJAX thingy ??

Appreciate any clarifications here.

If you are running a current box it will like ajax better then not. If your system is outdated then the ajax may slow you down. This is not an issue of internet or site lag, it would be system lag on your end, unless lackattack is fiddling with something.

good point, I have a good system with a fast internet connection, I have AJAX on and have never had a problem with lag

Silly me. To disable AJAX, just go to my settings and set it to NO. Now the game works as it is. Fast But I read it will be only temp... I really do not want AJAX enabled as it is just so slow.

I use my web browser computer to play CC, which just happens to be a win98 model so it's an oldie...

I hooked up my gaming rig and I noticed the site runs fine. I didn't bother testing it with games though because it wasn't my turn...

Is it just me or is this site becoming a lag monster? That little attack/fortify option area has slowed my games down a lot.

I can honestly tell when I am going to win an attack when it comes down to 1 or 2 territories left. If it shows instant white dice then I lose and if it lags up for like 5 seconds or longer then I win.

It's pretty much been like this since the speed games have started. I don't know how anyone could play a speed game with this laggy ass shit happening though.

laggiest moments seem to be:

winning a territory
advancing troops
fortifying

I haven't noticed any extra lag. I disabled Ajax as soon as it was there though, maybe its something to do with that (but I doubt it)?
