What Happens if Everybody Deadbeats?

Postby Visaoni on Sat Sep 29, 2007 3:26 pm

In a sequential game, of course the last player would win. But what about a freestyle game where nobody ever takes a turn? I have a feeling somebody has figure this out.

My personal guess is that most likely the last player wins again. Although I suppose it is possible the person with the last name alphabetically could win. It would depend on how the code organizes them.

Haha, just happened or was it planned? If it just happened that would be something to see.

President Bush will win after he plants a few concealed thermite charges inside of large skyscrapers and flies cartoon jet planes into them! 9-11 was an INSIDE JOB! Vote ROn Paul!!!!

actually; the last player to get a turn would win, not the last one who joined.

Myself, AK, and eddymush tested this out. We weren't sure if points would be lost at all. And if they were we thought it could be alphabetical, or based on the last person to play, or the last person to join, etc.

As it turns out, last person to join wins. (search for the games if you want to check, they were on circus maximus). We brought this to Lack's attention since it doesn't make sense (both players deadbeat at the exact same moment) and he said it would be fixed in the future. But its low priority since its rare, and I don't think its been fixed yet.

This makes sense. Probably because the game log takes the first players to join as higher priority.

Alright thanks. I figured at least one person had tested it out.
